BACKGROUND

Over the years, treating viral diseases has become more and more complex. Given the increase in therapeutic options in Asia and the Pacific, clinicians and researchers will clearly benefit from the opportunity to be informed and to discuss the newest data and their implications for clinical practice.

The APACC provides a much needed scientific platform that focuses on the developments, issues and needs in the Asia Pacific region. Researchers will have the opportunity to present and discuss the latest developments and will offered opportunities for interaction, networking and building collaborations. Top experts will integrate science and clinical practice through state-of-the-art lectures, clinical case discussions, round-table discussions and debates in order to reach consensus on best practices and develop guidelines for treatment.

The mission of the APACC is to provide a state-of-the-art forum for scientific interchange, medical education, community building and guidelines development for healthcare professionals in the Asia-Pacific region. Ultimately, the APACC conference aims at fostering knowledge sharing and capacity building in order to empower the HIV medical community and contribute to improvement of access to care in this region.
