The event will be held at the Claremont Hall on Saturday 15 Feb- ruary at 7pm, with 100 per cent of the proceeds donated to BlazeAid. BlazeAid, a volun- teer-based organisation, works with families and individuals in rural Australia after natural disasters such as fi res and fl oods. Working alongside the rural families, the volunteers help to rebuild fences and other structures that have been damaged or destroyed, seeking to also lift the spirits of people affected by the disaster and help rebuild their lives. “We hope that many community members will get behind this local fundraising effort, with 100 per cent of funds being donated to the cause,” Mr Watkins said. “BlazeAid is not spoken about very much and must be desperate for funds and we know Musician Lindy-Lou Bean with local community members and event organisers Brian Johnson, middle, and Marti n Watkins. that once we donate, the money will be there and about the news of the performance is sure to BlazeAid as the charity of to come along for the Supper will be https://facebook.com/ working on the ground bushfi res. inspire those attending choice. sense of community, for provided, along with the events/s/fundrais- the very next day.” “I come from a real to take a trip around the But she said the the cause and hopefully opportunity to purchase ing-dance-and-musical-/ In addition to working-class family dance fl oor. event was also very they will have a good a bargain in the silent 2997199496980738/ support from the Lions and Australia means Glenorchy City much about contributing night and meet people auction, or to purchase a ?ti=icl or by phoning Club of Glenorchy, local everything the us, so I Council Alderman to a sense of community. from around their neigh- raffl e ticket, with multi- Martin Watkins on 0407 musician Lindy-Lou want to do anything and Jan Dunsby, who has “This is why we’ve bourhood that they may ple prizes on offer. 505 697.
