From Banff to Jasper it is about 150 miles, but we take three days to work our way through this wonderful area. This tour is much slower paced than our other tours, so you will have time to just sit back and relax and enjoy the views the good Lord has given us. Wes & Karen…..

Friday, August 4 You might have heard about those red “Jammers” (Pictured on the first page of our brochure) that have been around for many years taking tourists over the top of Logan Pass on the “Going to the Sun” road. Well those jammers have been refurbished to meet all the current safety standards and we have reserved a couple of them to take our group on that famous stretch of highway. You will travel from the east side to the west side this afternoon, and then we will check into the Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish, Mt.B

Saturday, August 5 Today we make our way north into the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Overnight Banff.

Sunday, August 6 Enjoy an included hot breakfast this morning and then continue our slow paced, relaxed visit to this area by only traveling a hop, skip and a jump to our next overnight stay of Lake Louise. Monday, August 7 We journey north today on the Icefields Parkway. The is located on the boundary of Banff and Jasper National Parks. One of the largest accumulations of ice and snow south of the Arctic Circle, it covers an area of nearly 215 square kilometres, sometimes reaching a depth of 300-360 metres. The continuous accumulation of snow feeds eight major glaciers including the Athabasca, Dome, and Stutfield Glaciers, all visible from the Icefields Parkway. The Columbia Icefield’s melted water feeds streams and rivers that pour into the Arctic, Atlantic, and Pacific oceans. Midway through our journey you will ride in one of the specially designed vehicles out on to the Athabasca Glacier where we will actually get to step out of the vehicle and spend some time on this ancient ice! We continue our way north enjoying the many waterfalls and other sights along the way. Overnight Jasper, AB. B

Tuesday, August 8 Enjoy some more of nature’s beauty as we visit one of ’s most visited sights ...a cruise on Maligne Lake to Spirit Island.
