This could be called the battle of the two Round one result – 25-22 (Roxburgh). Roxburgh sent shock waves in form sides of the competition. Clutha Valley have four wins on the trot around the Southern Region with a very impressive win over Clutha in and have made a late run for the semi-finals. They will, however, need a the first round. This was Clutha’s first loss in a long while and it miracle for this to happen. They will need Owaka to drop both remaining signalled Roxburgh’s intentions by early on. Since then Clutha have games without scoring a bonus point and have two bonus point wins returned to the top of the competition where we are so used to seeing themselves. If this isn’t hard enough then they still need to catch up on them. They had a momentary lapse last week when they were beaten Owaka’s very healthy points difference. The Valley side have played some v at Death Valley by Heriot but are still leading with two rounds left. v very attractive rugby in recent weeks and will be confident of making it five Roxburgh have fallen off the pace in recent weeks with injury and in a row. The first-round match between these sides was fairly one-sided back of two losses to Clutha and Owaka. Heriot were victorious over Clutha once Clinton had a player sent-off in the first half.
