Well, what makes this album a stroke of genius is its perfect blend of pop accessibility and Manson meanness (for example, the album's listeners are referred to as "apes.") This is only a part of the paradox that the Manson camp is about. Secondly, there will be more than one listener out there who will be offended by the venomous, but quite enlightening, lyrics that decorate the album. Of course, those who are easily offended will probably dodge the album because of its title from the start; but if you take Manson's lyrics and philosophies to the extreme, he is giving you every reason to hate him, but he's still hit number 3 on Billboard. Manson would be more than happy to supervise you as you dig your grave. Finally - the music. Song structures are actually a bit more streamlined than on Portrait of an American Family, but this stripping down makes the tunes that much more infectious. "Beautiful People" has already proved that, and almost every other song clings to your brain

Molko, along with drummer Robert Schultzberg and bassist , have created an album mild enough to lure in mainstream trendies, but venomous enough to sting the underground. That actually fits the concept behind the band, starting with their name. "Names are difficult to find, at least one that you can live with. We were laughing about bands named after drugs. Codeine. Morphine. We thought it would be interesting to name ourselves a drug, as well, but one that doesn't really work," notes Molko. The band is currently touring with Weezer, a challenging experience that Molko and crew gladly take on. "rThe first two days were ropey for us," admits Molko,"We were playing France. The Stony Brook Women's Basketball team rolled over the Queens College Knights, winning their first home game, 72-58 at the USB Indoor Sports Complex. The victory brings the team record to 3-2. The Seawolves led by 15 points early in the first half. Junior guard Donna Fennessy, contributed to this lead by shooting four three-pointers. The Queens defense left her open and she took advantage of their mishap. Just as the Seawolves were beginning to feel comfortable with their lead, Knights forward Margarita Segura, took their assurance away from them. Segura was a key threat to the 'Wolves, scoring nine points in the first half.. Her moves, coupled with forward Joanne Brown-Miller's Il points brought the Stony Brook lead down to one. It was only when Segura suffered a fall and gym- burn, did the Seawolves come back to reclaim their dominance. Stony Brook ended the half up 47- 31. In the'second half, the scoring was even for both teams, however, Stony Brook was able to maintain the lead throughout.
