For the proposed research, the lives, ministries, and perspectives on healing of Ik-du Kim, Seong-bong Lee, and Yong-gi Cho are discussed in detail with the following goals: 1) to discover healing theologies in the teaching and practice of the three selected healing practitioners; 2) to identify the contextual factors which were influential in the formulation and adoption of the healing theologies; 3) to investigate the theological core of the Korean healing movement formed by the three healing practitioners; 4) to critically evaluate the theology and contributions of the healing movement. For these tasks, I used an interdisciplinary study that utilizes historical and theological approaches. In the course of this study, the healing theologies and the contexts in which their healing theologies were developed are the focus of the research. This helps one to understand to what extent the healing movement in Korea was influenced by internal and external sources and discusses how to conceptualize and justify the theological core of the Korean healing movement. The thesis shows several significant findings regarding the origin of the Korean healing theology formed in its distinctive contexts. Moreover, the theological core of the Korean healing movement was constructed and discussed systematically. The study as an in-depth theological investigation of the Korean healing movement needs to be evaluated in a positive way that aims at constructing and critically analysing the theological data of the Korean healing movement, because recent research on the healing movement in Korea has been mostly historical in nature. As my research provides an in-depth understanding of the formation of the Korean healing theology and the theological backbone of the Korean healing movement, it contributes to the development of local theology to help Korean Christians discover their theological identity. Accordingly, our technical procedures are peri- ^odically set forth in ''Scope and Methods of the Statistical Reporting Service," and the agency's early development and program expansion were presented in "The Story of Agricultural Estimates." However, most important are the people who de- veloped this complex and efficient statistical service for agriculture and those who maintain and expand it today. Dr. Harry C. Trelogan, SRS Administrator, 1961-1975, arranged for Emerson M. Brooks to prepare this informal account of some of the people who steered SRS's course from 1933 to 1961. The series of biographical sketches selected by the author are representative of the people who helped develop the per- sonality of SRS and provide the talent to meet challenges for accurate and timely agricultural information. This narrative touching the critical issues of that period and the way they'^ were resolved adds to our understanding of the agency and helps maintain the esprit de corps that has strengthened our work since it started in 1862. Our history provides us some valuable lessons, for "those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." W.

During the last year, our Organizing Committee has worked hard on making a timely scientific program, and you will find that the Scientific Program is designed to provide you sessions discussing the latest basic and clinical research results in the field of intracranial atherosclerosis. There are also sessions which discuss other aspects of the disease for the interest of our participants.

What I want to get, as you all know, is conversation about music and the Movement. And what I'm going to do—I'm not giving elaborate introductions. I'm going to go around the table and name who's here for the record, for the recorded record. Beyond that, I will depend on each one of you in your first, in this first round of comments to introduce yourselves however you wish. To the extent that I feel it necessary, I will prod you if I feel you've left something out that I think is important, which is one of the prerogatives of the moderator. [Laughs] Other than that, it's pretty loose going around the table—and this will be the order in which we'll also speak—Chuck Neblett, Hollis Watkins, Worth Long, Candie Carawan, Bettie Mae Fikes. Signed: Kathleen Palti 2 Abstract The manuscripts British Library, Sloane MS 2593, Bodleian Library, MS Eng. poet. e.1, and St John’s College, Cambridge, MS S.54 are compact collections of song lyrics written during the fifteenth century, largely without notation. My thesis seeks to develop responsive ways of reading these anthologies and uses the manuscripts to illumine the creative processes that produced and circulated their songs. I integrate attention to song lyrics within the material books and exploration of wider textual networks. As many of the anthologies’ texts are in carol form, a combination of refrain parts and stanzas, the books provide an opportunity to examine the form’s identity and significance within fifteenth- century English songwriting. The thesis is in three parts and the first introduces critical approaches to the manuscripts and the carol, followed by an examination of the books and their contexts, especially manuscripts with which the anthologies have textual connections. The central section investigates the songs’ production and circulation by examining textual networks, how the anthologies were written, how the songs may have been performed, and the role of memory in shaping the songs and anthologies.
