Der Ort und der Landkeis Şile sind Teil der Provinz Istanbul. Einige weitere Fangergeb- nisse des Autors in anderen Teilen der Provinz Istanbul sind ebenfalls aufgeführt. Betrachtet wurden Arten der Familien Notodontidae, Nolidae, Arctiidae, Lymantriidae, Erebidae, Noctuidae, Sphingidae, Lasiocam- pidae, Saturniidae, Drepanidae und Thyatiridae. Nicht berücksichtigt wurden Microlepidoptera und Geometridae. Die Artenliste wurde, wo nötig oder sinnvoll, mit einigen zusätzlichen Angaben angereichert, die allgemeine Verbreitung, ähnliche Arten oder das Vorkommen in Şile und anderen Teilen der Provinz Istanbul kommentieren. Für jede Art wird mit römischen Ziffern angegeben, in welchem Monat die Fänge erfolgt sind. Hierbei bedeutet (b) Anfang, (m) Mitte und (e) Ende des Monats. Die Zahl der gefangenen Spezimens wurde als grober Schätzwert für die tatsächliche Häufigkeit verwandt und die Arten dement- sprechend in vier Kategorien eingeteilt: vc – sehr häufig c – häufig s - vereinzelt r – selten Es wird deutlich, dass die Fauna Istanbuls derjenigen Rumäniens und mehr noch derjenigen Bulgariens ähnelt, beides Länder, die ebenfalls am Schwarzen Meer liegen. Da Istanbul aber auch mediterranen Einflüssen unterliegt, ist eine stärkere Vertretung des mediterranen Faunenelementes zu beobachten. Nur eine der festgestellten Arten wurde bisher in Bulgarien noch nicht gefunden, für Rumänien sind es einige mehr. -

És el resultat de més de 12 anys de treballs que han duit a terme els científics del grup s‘Albufera-IBG i molts d‘altres experts i aficionats que han aportat l’esforç i els coneixe- ments per completar aquesta visió global de la biodiversitat de s‘Albufera de Mallorca. Un cos de coneixements que s’ha anat formant pas a pas, com és característic de tot procés cien- tífic. La Conselleria de Medi Ambient és ben conscient que la conservació del patrimoni natural no es pot fer sense els estudis que ens han de permetre conèixer quins són els recursos sota la nostra responsabilitat i quin valor tenen. De cada vegada el gran públic coneix més quines són les espècies amenaçades i les accions per conservar-les troben ressò en els mitjans de comunicació i en la sensibilitat de la socie- tat en general. Però cal demanar-se: estam fent tot allò que és necessari per garantir la con- servació del patrimoni natural per a les generacions pròximes? Són suficients els coneixe- ments actuals d’aquest patrimoni? Quines espècies o quines poblacions són les més valuo- ses? Aquest llibre ajudarà a respondre algunes d‘aquestes preguntes. És un compromís entre la visió del científic, que sempre desitja aprofundir en l’estudi, i els gestors, que demanen amb urgència unes eines adequades per planificar les accions de conservació i avaluar-les. -

PRIMI DATI SUI LEPIDOTTERI ETEROCERI DELLA RISERVA NATURALE REGIONALE GUIDATA “GOLE DEL SAGITTARIO” (ITALIA CENTRALE, ABRUZZO) a cura del dott. Aldrovandi 18, I-00197 Roma, e-mail: [email protected]) Ricerca realizzata nell’anno 2005 e finanziata da WWF Italia, Regione Abruzzo e Comune di Anversa degli Abruzzi INTRODUZIONE L’acquisizione di conoscenze faunistiche ed ecologiche relative a più specie animali appartenenti ad un medesimo taxon in un ben preciso ambito geografico sono i presupposti che permettono di percepire sfumature ambientali di rilevante importanza ecologica e progettare adeguati interventi di conservazione. In tal senso i Lepidotteri, ed in particolar modo quelli ad attività notturna, si sono rivelati dei candidati ideali per l’elevato numero di specie, per il forte legame con la componente vegetale nonché per l’eterogeneità degli adattamenti sviluppati nel corso della loro evoluzione. Sebbene negli ultimi anni si siano intensificate le ricerche lepidotterologiche di carattere ecologico e faunistico nei massicci interni abruzzesi (Zilli, 1997; Dell'Agata, 2003; Grassi, 2003), dati faunistici pregressi sui Lepidotteri Eteroceri dell’alta valle del Sagittario sono quasi del tutto inesistenti, se si eccettuano poche ed isolate notizie su lavori più generali (Dannehl, 1933; Prola et al., 1978a, 1978b). Con la presente ricerca, pertanto, si fornisce un primo contributo alla conoscenza della lepidotterofauna della Riserva Naturale Regionale Guidata “Gole del Sagittario”. Le indagini, effettuate nell’arco di tempo di due mesi, hanno portato alla stesura di una checklist preliminare dei Lepidotteri a volo notturno (Eteroceri). Essa può considerarsi il punto di partenza per successive ricerche, volte al raggiungimento di un inventario faunistico sempre più rappresentativo della reale diversità biotica che la Riserva ospita e per azioni di conservazione attraverso l’uso di questi insetti come indicatori della qualità dell’ambiente. -

Scalercio & S. Greco Abstract In this paper we described the Heterocera fauna of the Calabrian black pine forest in the Sila Massif, southern Italy. We sampled 15 stands at 1270-1446 meters of altitude. One UV-Led light traps per stand was turned on once per month from May to November 2015 and from April to November 2016. We collected 18,827 individuals belonging to 367 species. Thaumetopoea pityocampa (Notodontidae) and Alcis repandata (Geometridae) were the most abundant species. Conifers are the main larval foodplant of 11 species and 4,984 individuals. Particularly interesting was the presence of Eupithecia indigata, discovered in Italy outside the Alps few years ago, abundant in pure Calabrian black pine stands. Several species are extremely rare and/or scattered in Italy or even restricted to Valle Vecchia, e.g. NABCFC>:)?;:DM<BF:><=>. The importance of the area is furthermore underlined by the occurrence of +AE:<D:) K>?9:= and -I9B:M>:) OI:K=>9IDE;:=>:, two species protected by the Fauna-Flora-Habitat directive of the EU. An ecological analysis underlines the particular importance of the sandy dune system and halophytic depression for Lepidoptera. Bed of reeds and hygrophilous to xerophilous grassland add to the overall diversity. Recent afforestations probably will improve the importance of woody plants. Biogeographically, species which are widely distributed in Eurasia and/or North America or which are even cosmopolitan cover about 72% of the inventory. -

Fundort ist eine Kleingartenanlage im Nürnberger Norden. Aufgrund des Zustandes muß die Entwicklung des Falters hier erfolgt sein, es sei denn, er ist im Puppenstadium eingeschleppt worden. Summary: As far as the author is informed Mythimna riparia (Rambur, 1829) is here reported for Germany for the first time. Finding place is an area for hobby gardeners in the North of Nuremberg (Bavaria). The physiognomy of the habitat let it appear appropriate that this is the place where the whole development of this species took place. If not one may suppose the pupa could have been imported together with certain garden plants. The species is wide spread in Southern Europe, but was never reported from North of the Alps. This particular specimen can not be looked at a predecessor of global warming. Four noctuid (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) taxa new for the fauna of Iran Mehdi Esfandiari, Mohammad Saeed Mossadegh, Parviz Shishehbor, Kauri Mikkola and Seyed Hosein Hodjat Abstract. Three species, Grammodes boisdeffrii (Oberthür, 1876), Dysmilichia flavonigra (Swinhoe, 1884), Mythimna congrua (Hübner, [1817]), and the nominate subspecies Drasteria kabylaria kabylaria (Bang-Haas, 1906), are reported for the first time from Iran. These species were collected in sugarcane fields' areas of Khuzestan province, south-west Iran. Adults and genitalia of each species are illustrated, with notes on their identification, bionomy and distribution. Samenvatting. Vier Noctuidae-soorten (Lepidoptera) nieuw voor de fauna van Iran Drie soorten, Grammodes boisdeffrii (Oberthür, 1876), Dysmilichia flavonigra (Swinhoe, 1884) en Mythimna congrua (Hübner, [1817]), en de nominale subspecies Drasteria kabylaria kabylaria (Bang-Haas, 1906), worden hier voor het eerst uit Iran vermeld. Deze soorten werden verzameld in suikerrietvelden in de provincie Khuzestan (Zuidwest-Iran). A short preliminary report of the monitoring of the Lepidoptera fauna of the Jabal Moussa biosphere area and adjacent areas in Jaakko Kullberg The research area and methods We monitored the Lepidoptera fauna of Jabal Moussa (see the map) and its neighboring valleys during 24.5. – 9.6.2012. During expedition the weather was rather tricky during nights and in the beginning of the expedition temperature minimum was often less than +10 degrees in the valley sides and we did not have warmer nights (+20C degrees) at all. Therefore the size of the catch was very variable – cold nights only some dozens of specimens came to light and during warmer nights thousands of specimens. As the weather greatly affects to the insect flight, we saw more convenient and efficient to move also secondary places in the hope of more favorable weather conditions by using car, than risk the night by climbing up the mountain with heavy equipment and thus making us vulnerable to changing weather. We several times changed our plans just before dark accordingly to changing weather. Choosing opposite mountain slope or top instead of Jabal Moussa can be seen acceptable as it is fact that most of the species are common between neighboring mountain slopes and that moths are flying up and down between the valleys and mountain tops according to weather. In this state of the study we are only in the starting point of getting to know the fauna of the research area and this way we also spared valuable time for preparing the materials instead of walking.
