The Social Care levy is due to the demographic of the ageing population. The number of 70+’s during 2020-2025 will increase by 14% and so on, as well as an increase of 20% of residents in care homes. A discussion took place regards the explosion of the population but the continuing cuts to services and increased charges for services, such as green garden waste.
