Someone (I can't remember who) had the idea that we re-visit, re-edit the entire album for posterities sake. We got as far as the first track before we couldn't be arsed anymore and gave up….it does sound fucking mega though!" OASIS – "BE HERE NOW" "Be Here Now" kan sies å være et av de mest betydningsfulle albumslippene i britisk musikkhistorie. Albumet ble spilt inn med produsent Owen Morris i Abbey Road Studios, Ridge Farm Studios, og Air Studios mellom oktober 1996 og mai 1997. Den foregående sommeren spilte Oasis live for mer enn 250.000 mennesker i løpet av to kvelder på Knebworth House, det som for mange var to av 90'tallets definerende konserter. "Be Here Now" ble sluppet 21. august 1997 og solgte over 700.000 eksemplarer på kun tre dager. Den dag i dag er albumet fortsatt den raskest selgende britiske platen ved slipp, og har solgt over 8 millioner eksemplarer verden over.
