Dear friends and neighbors, Welcome to the 2017 Government Guide for the 13th Legislative District. I hope that you find this resource helpful to connect with your federal, state and local governments. The information included in this guide will be helpful to determine the appropriate person or office to contact with your questions or concerns. It is so important that your government is accessible and although this guide may not be exhaustive; it contains the most frequently used infor- mation for various government jurisdictions and agencies in our state and community. It is an honor to serve as your state Senator from the 13th Legislative District. I am working hard to represent your views here in Olympia. I am focused on finding collaborative solutions to the problems we face. I am working to keep taxes low, grow our economy by improving our state’s business climate, investing in our children’s education, and attracting more family-wage jobs. The 2017 legislative session will be challenging. With significant resourc- es coming to the state, we must prioritize spending and focus on what re- ally matters. I am committed to build on the results of the Senate Majority by putting education first, protecting our state's most vulnerable and en- suring our farms and small businesses can thrive.
