FMJD RATING LIST PER 1-7-2018 IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER ..................................................................... 141 FMJD Rating No 97 July/September 2018 Important GA decision GA Tallinn, October 8th decides: FMJD publishes norms and the federation has to ask for a title In the publications of the FMJD rating list FMJD publishes norms achieved by the players. A request for attribution of a title should be sent to the FMJD Council by the candidate via his national federation or by the national federation. Every request consists of the complete name of the candidate, address, birth date and sufficient information to decide about the request for the candidate. The request has to contain a list of norms achieved by the candidate on which results the request for the title is based. The requests for an international title is examined and approved by the Council of FMJD and for confirmation presented to the General Assembly of the FMJD. The request is only considered after the corresponding fee has been paid to FMJD. Fees for services of FMJD FMJD proposes fees for several services of FMJD like title requests and rating services: 1. Request for title: a. €100 International Grandmaster (women) GMI / GMIF b. €100 International Referee IR c. €50 International Mater (Women) MI / MIF or FMJD Referee FR d. €30 FMJD Master (Women) MF / MFF or Technical FMJD Referee TR e. €20 Candidate FMJD Master (Women) cMF / cMFF 2. Rating services: a. Free if tournament is reported in time and with official FMJD Software Draughts Arbiter b. €50 tournaments not reported with official FMJD software c. €50 tournaments reported with delay (also with official software!) Additional remarks: 2a and 2b can be valid together (€100) for tournament reported with delay not with official software. 3 FMJD Rating No 97 July/September 2018 Tournaments reports for ratings Using Draughts Arbiter Pro (free software available for download from FMJD web) Just use the FMJD icon from the tool-bar to create the FMJD report for rating. And this is all! Report is delivered without any more efforts. Using this software for FMJD report – uses also players ID. You can download the current (updated regularly by FMJD) list of players. After that, just choose which rating period is necessary for your tournament. Do not forget to mark the item rating list. After that the system will advice you players from database while typing the name. This form of reporting is free of charge. You need just need to do it on time

    Zoja wereldkampioen! Voor de 16e keer is Zoja Golubeva ( Зоя Аляксандраўна Голубева) wereldkampioen bij de dames geworden. Dit mag een formidabele prestatie genoemd worden, die door weinig sporters behaald is. Over een periode van 31 jaar, met een onderbreking van 10 jaar tussen 2000 en 2010, heerst zij. In 1986 werd zij voor de eerste keer wereldkampioen, in haar eigen woonplaats Minsk. Zij won in een tweekamp van Elena Altshul. De volgende titels behaalde zij in 1988, 1990, 1991, 1992 in een match tegen Nina Hoekman, 1994, 1995, 1996 in een match met Karen van Lith, 1997, 1999, 2000 in een match tegen Nina Hoekman, 2010, 2013, 2014, 2015 en nu dus in 2017. De eerste drie WK’s won zij voor de Sovjet-Unie de andere wereldtitels formeel voor Letland. In 1989 is zij na haar huwelijk naar Riga verhuisd, dat in die tijd nog tot de Sovjet- Unie behoorde, evenals Wit-Rusland waar zij vandaan komt. De eerste wereldtitel veroverde zij onder haar meisjesnaam Sadovskaja. Zelf heb ik Zoja leren kennen bij het toernooi om de WK dammen dames in Velp in 2001. Ik was toen perschef bij het toernooi. Het was een wonderlijke kennismaking, aangezien we elkaar al 10 jaar kenden. Wij hadden namelijk een gemeenschappelijke vriendin: Elena Martjanova. We kenden elkaar al goed zonder elkaar ontmoet te hebben. Zoja is een bijzonder aardig mens en ik ben een grote fan van haar. Zoja heeft een wonderlijke tijd doorgemaakt, verhuisd in een land, dat later in vele delen uiteengevallen is. Toen ik haar in Velp tegenkwam was zij een statenloze wereldkampioene.

    MARTHA STEWART Mary Martha Groves Stewart, 96, of St. Clairsville, OH, died Tues­ day, August 9, 2016, at Wheeling Hospital. She was bom March 23, 1920, in Egypt Valley, OH, a daughter of the late Earl and Hazel Williamson Groves. Martha retired as co­ owner of Stewart’s* Mobile Home and R.V. in St. Clairsville and a member of First Presbyterian Church. As the matriarch of the fam­ ily, she enjoyed sewing and cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. She was generous, caring and loving and one of the great­ est moms to many. In addition to her par­ ents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ray Stewart; her daughter, Jane Stewart (James) Sanati; a sister, Dorothy (Dale) Murphy; two brothers, Bernard and Charles Groves; and sister- in-law, Lois Groves. Surviving are her three children, Carole Stewart (Robert) Sabo of St. Clairsville, Thomas R. (Jackie) Stewart of Tall- madge, OH, and Robert E. (Sharon) Stewart of St. Clajrsville; a brother, Rus­ sell Groves of St. Clairsville; two sisters- in-law, Carol Ann Groves of Bamesville and Martha Groves of Flush­ ing; 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Kathy, Jamie, Mary Beth, Julie, Justin, Christo­ pher, Stephanie, Ryan, Adam, and Lindsay; numer­ ous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildmn; and nieces and nephewsy A Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Thursday from 4-8 p.m., where serv­ ices will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev.
