It seemed a simple enough request. The News wanted to do a story about the biggest landowners in Bowling Green. And it needed totals of the area of each landowner's property. Because all property records in Wood County are computerized, it would seem an easy task to obtain copies of the data tapes and sum up all of the square feet.
