Pete Safaris is a hunting outfitter in The Eastern Cape province of South Africa, owned by the Professional Hunters Lammie Ferreira and Peter Olesen, both of which were born and bred in the hunting community and started hunting at a very young age.

Lammie and Peter both share a burning desire for the conservation and the protection of wildlife, and it is this desire that not only makes them such good hosts and Professional Hunters, but also have ensured sustainable hunting areas with world class trophy quality. Through many years of experience, a true understanding has been built of what it takes to be a top outfitter, creating the ultimate safari experience.

Pete Safaris caters for everybody from the experienced to the novice hunter, family groups and non-hunting guests. We aim to offer very competitive prices without jeopardizing our ethical standards, the level of quality we assure, and the safety and satisfaction of our clients. We make use of various hunting camps, to ensure that each hunter's individual needs are met. The camps have been carefully selected for their locations, surrounding wildlife and level of intimacy. We have access to more than 200.000 hectars of hunting concessions, offering more than 40 different huntable species, being everything from small to medium and big- sized game.

Our main lodge is an incredible and unique place, located merely 1 hour drive from Port Elizabeth and offering 4-star luxury accommodation in a relaxed safari setting.

The camp is an idyllic location from which to explore the majestic landscape and spectacular wildlife, offering unique photographic opportunities to nature lovers. It´s placed in the center of its own large hunting area, with everything from hills and mountains, to open flats and thick riverbed sections. The camp is also a perfectly situated gateway to other world class hunting concessions. Experience the wide variety of wildlife at close quarters and indulge in magnificent scenery from the comfort of one of the open game viewing vehicles, from horsebacks or from the huge and comfort lodge veranda.

After a day full of excitement, guests can relax, refresh and recharge in the lounge, overlooking the dam or unwind alongside the pool with a favourite book -The poolside garden is the ideal place to relax, while soaking up the sunshine or enjoying a sundown cocktail amongst friends.

The friendly service and traditional South African cuisine help retain the African safari simplicity. The evenings are spent sharing tales of the day’s experiences and adventures at the outdoor Alfresco kitchen, or in the boma (around the fireplace) under the star-filled skies.

The camp meals are usually a mix of safari cuisine and traditional Karoo farmhouse cooking. The daily menu depends on what is seasonal, fresh and available on the day. These include traditional South African specialities, as well as a mixture of contemporary dishes – all of which provide guests with a range of culinary delights, including prime South African wines.

The lodge is private, spacious, stylish and very well equipped, allowing you to enjoy your stay in great comfort. The modern conveniences include high-speed Wi-Fi, Information Service, Entertainment Room/lounge and 24 Hour Coffee and Tea facilities – The whole camps is elegantly appointed, with the emphasis on your comfort, relaxation and the ‘African Safari’ experience. The sights and sounds of the karoo bush provide a gentle backdrop to the luxurious en-suite safari suites, which include standard, family and deluxe suites. Here we invite you to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and enjoy a truly unforgettable African hunting experience.

The en-suite rooms offer a harmonious blend of luxury and rustic african style. Relax and enjoy the perfect sunsets from your own private veranda, and listen to the call of the wild as you unwind.

From one side of the spacious Lapa (lounge), you will have a beautiful view of rolling hills, where many species of antelope may be seen. Capture the traditional African feeling of having sundowners at the bar, while you absorb the Eastern Cape bushveld. From the other side of the Lapa, the stunning swimming pool can be seen, allowing unobtrusive supervision of children and younger pool users.

At the Boma, you can enjoy the company of your hunting guide and friends around the fire, exchanging hunting stories and experiences from an adventurous day in the bush.
