A Dinaka is certainly the ultimate family destination and therefore our featured hunt for 2013, is a hunting trip of a very special family. Mark and Dianna Metzger of Ohio hunted with us so many times, we quit counting. They love spending time in nature and appreciate a true hunt. It is therefore second nature to spoil their loved ones, by letting them share the pleasures and values of a hunting trip. They have brought family and friends to hunt with us, but lovingly also the grand children. This June, they once again brought grandson Hunter Bennett for 6 days to Dinaka, after a hunting trip to Namibia. Hunter, age 13 experienced Mark and Dianna Metzger some of the local boy adventures, with our son Jaco when the 2 of them went their own way on the non scheduled hunting days. k Hunter: Waterbuck – A waterbuck was heading the list since a previous hunt. We are very pleased that Hunter took a great 27½” Waterbuck. k Dianna: Impala – Hunting a black Impala was a dream of Dianna for many trips now. As our numbers on old rams did not previously allow this, Dianna excitedly utilized the opportunity this past June. Well done on a great animal! k Hunter: Ostrich – Hunting an ostrich is not an easy task. Lots of feathers, but really small vitals. Hunter can be proud off a clean shot. It certainly took much quicker to decide on bullet placement, than on the mounting instructions…… k Hunter: Zebra – The mountain zebra hunt was also executed very profes- sionally. Jaco also enjoyed most of the adventures with the family. With all the travelling, they made use of the Dinaka rifles: k Hunter: Sable – An opportunity to hunt sable is something not to pass up Krico 7x57 on. Well done, not only for making use of this opportunity, but on patiently Remington 870 pump waiting to take a clean shot on this Sable, measuring 38½”. DINAKA BUSHTALK 2013 5 k Hunter and PH Johan, patiently waiting for the water fowl.
