1. SOBEST Regional Symposiums

The Brazilian Enterostomal Therapy Association (SOBEST) promoted four Regional Symposiums during 2018, in different regions of the Country.

The IV Northeast Stomal Therapy Symposium was held in Teresina, Piauí (Figures 1, 2); the city of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, received the II South Stomal Therapy Symposium (Figures 3-5); the II Southeast Stomal Therapy Symposium was held in Rio de Janeiro (Figures 6, 7); and Manaus, Amazonas, hosted the II North Stomal Therapy Symposium (Figure 8, 9).

The purpose of these activities was to share the specialized knowledge with health professionals, promoting access to scientific information and exchanging clinical experiences directing the quality and excellence of ostomy, wound and continence care.

The scientific events involved more than 1,200 professionals, and 168 scientific papers presented in thematic areas of Stoma, Wound and Continence Care including Professional Development.

2. Community Health Educational Activities

SOBEST Sectional Directorships also collaborated in health care events and campaigns in which nurses and ETNs attended community activities. 3. ETNEPs Recognition in Brazilian Social Media

6. SOBEST is part of the Head and Neck Cancer Multidisciplinary Task Force Team (GTCCP)

SOBEST has been invited to participate as a member of the Head and Neck Cancer Task Force Team to develop the National Policy for Integral Care of the Person with Head and Neck Cancer. SOBEST is represented by ETN Adriane Faresin, Director of the SOBEST Communication Department. She works in an Oncology Reference Hospital in Brazil (Figures 20, 21).

7. SOBEST Launches Educational Guidebooks

SOBEST launched two educational guidebooks last December 14th.
