(2) Notes that the two centres offer free mediation services to thousands of people in regional areas. (2) Notes that, since the hospital's aged-care residents were moved to an area down the hall from the hospital's emergency department, a system to alert nurses of elderly residents wandering outside has allegedly failed twice. (3) Calls on the Minister for Health to move immediately to fund urgent repairs to Muswellbrook Hospital's facilities and to ensure that its patients are secure. (2) Notes that nationally the university has jumped two places since last year to rank ninth. (3) Notes that the University of Newcastle is now the highest ranked university outside a capital city. (4) Congratulates the University of Newcastle for continuing to build on its strong reputation nationally and internationally and urges the Federal Government to ensure adequate funding for the University to encourage access for all.
