For the parish, we’ve had our parish fete and garden party and had a great time. I’d like to thank most sincerely our Parish Pastoral Council who have put in so much work to ensure its success. Thank you also to our many parishioners who came along and supported the event. For the community in the monastery, there is great rejoicing as Br Peter Morris CSsR made his Final Profession, telling us all that he will live the rest of his life as a Redemptorist. At the 12 noon mass this Sunday Bishop Ralph Heskett CSsR will ordain Br Peter as a Deacon. Many of you know Bishop Ralph, as he is your former Parish Priest! He was also Br Peter’s Postulant Director some years ago when he began his formation. So today is special for us all. Peace! Staff News Following a recent round of interviews I am now in a position to tell you the classes for next year: • Foundation Stage 2 Mrs Darken • Year 1 Miss Speed • Year 2 Mrs Broadhead • Year 3 Mrs Drake (temporary maternity leave cover for Mrs Evans) • Year 4 Mr Broadhead • Year 5 Mrs Holloway • Year 6 Mr Smith (Acting Assistant Headteacher) & Miss Kiernan When Mrs Evans returns later in the academic year she will immediately resume her duties as Deputy Headteacher and class teacher in Year 3. At this point Mr Smith will cease being Acting Assistant Headteacher and Miss Kiernan will join Mrs Evans in Year 3. Taster Day On Monday 14 th July all the children will be spending most of the day with their new teachers in their new classrooms. The new and current staff will be on the playground from 8.40am in case you would like an opportunity to meet them and introduce yourselves.

He said: "I commend our political leaders for standing together in Creggan on Good Friday. I am however left with a question: 'Why in God's name does it take the death of a 29 year old woman with her whole life in front of her to get us to this point?'" Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, British Prime Minister Theresa May, Sinn Fein leader Mary Lou McDonald and DUP leader Arlene Foster, were present and slowly rose to their feet after the congregation stood up and applauded.
