FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JANUARY 13, 2009 RIVER ROCK CASINO RESORT & BOULEVARD CASINO PRESENT CRAIG FERGUSON FRIDAY, JUNE 12 – RIVER ROCK SHOW THEATRE SATURDAY, JUNE 13 – RED ROBINSON SHOW THEATRE Craig Ferguson entered the world of late night comedy following a diverse and eclectic career that encompasses film, stage and television. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he got his start in the entertainment industry as a drummer for several punk bands in the UK. Following his musical stint, he began bartending at a local pub in Glasgow where he was introduced to Michael Boyd, the artistic director of The Tron Theatre in Glasgow who persuaded Ferguson to give acting a go. After several low playing acting gigs, he discovered he had a knack for comedy and was soon the star of his own BBC television show, “The Ferguson Theory” in 1994. After several stints on the English comedy circuit, Ferguson brought his act to the US in 1995 when he starred with Marie Osmond and Betty White in the short-lived ABC sitcom, “Maybe This Time.” After the show ended, the network decided to add the talented Scotsman to “The Drew Carey Show” where he joined the cast in 1996 playing the role of Drew’s boss, “Nigel Wick” for eight seasons. Along with acting, he has written such feature films as The Big Tease (1999) and Saving Grace (2000). He made his directorial debut with the 2003 film, I’ll Be There which he also wrote and starred in. It went on to receive the Audience Award for Best Film at the Aspen, Dallas and Valencia film festivals … he was also named “Best New Director” at the Napa Valley Film Festival.

HOW I GOT THIS WAY Regis Philbin HowIGotThisWay_p2.indd 3 9/7/11 12:04 PM Foreword Abraham Lincoln Abraham Lincoln was the sixteenth president of the United States, serving from 1861-1865. He was born on February 12, 1809, outside of Hodgenville, Kentucky. Lincoln was just eight years old when his father moved the family to the wilds of Indiana and began to clear and farm 160 acres of land in Spencer County. There the family occupied a modest three- cornered lean-to. Lincoln never had more than a year of formal education while growing up, but he learned to read and loved books. By the time Lincoln turned sixteen, he was working as a farm hand and laborer. He also worked as a store clerk and ferryboat rower. He was tall and very strong and gained local acclaim as a wrestler. Lincoln went to law school, walking twenty miles each way because there were no law books in his hometown of New Salem. From 1833-1836 he served as the postmaster of New Salem. HowIGotThisWay_p3.indd 8 9/15/11 4:55 PM Lincoln was elected to the Congress in 1846, at the age of thirty- eight. He lost his bid for re-election in 1848 due to his outspoken criticism of the Mexican War and returned to Springfield shortly thereafter to resume his law practice. In May of 1860, Lincoln was nominated as the Republican candidate for president while his old foe Stephen Douglas was nominated by the Northern Democrats. Lincoln won the popular vote and the Electoral College and subsequently took office on March 4, 1861.
