    Baltimore Tattoo shop makes week 9 exit Posted by TBNDavid On 08/09/2017 On the ninth episode of “Ink Master,” Season 1 Veteran Tommy Helm and Marvin Silva of Empire State Studio (Amityville, NY) entered the competition. Following a flash challenge in which contestants demonstrated proportion by applying plaster to a large canvas to create a relief sculpture, an old classic art form, they then had to design Pin-Up Girl tattoos.     FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE JANUARY 13, 2009 RIVER ROCK CASINO RESORT & BOULEVARD CASINO PRESENT CRAIG FERGUSON FRIDAY, JUNE 12 – RIVER ROCK SHOW THEATRE SATURDAY, JUNE 13 – RED ROBINSON SHOW THEATRE Craig Ferguson entered the world of late night comedy following a diverse and eclectic career that encompasses film, stage and television. Born in Glasgow, Scotland, he got his start in the entertainment industry as a drummer for several punk bands in the UK. Following his musical stint, he began bartending at a local pub in Glasgow where he was introduced to Michael Boyd, the artistic director of The Tron Theatre in Glasgow who persuaded Ferguson to give acting a go. After several low playing acting gigs, he discovered he had a knack for comedy and was soon the star of his own BBC television show, “The Ferguson Theory” in 1994. After several stints on the English comedy circuit, Ferguson brought his act to the US in 1995 when he starred with Marie Osmond and Betty White in the short-lived ABC sitcom, “Maybe This Time.” After the show ended, the network decided to add the talented Scotsman to “The Drew Carey Show” where he joined the cast in 1996 playing the role of Drew’s boss, “Nigel Wick” for eight seasons. Along with acting, he has written such feature films as The Big Tease (1999) and Saving Grace (2000). He made his directorial debut with the 2003 film, I’ll Be There which he also wrote and starred in. It went on to receive the Audience Award for Best Film at the Aspen, Dallas and Valencia film festivals … he was also named “Best New Director” at the Napa Valley Film Festival.

The tattoo artists proved to be top competitors in season eight of the Spike reality series and in March, the network announced that the women would be returning for their own one-hour special, Ink Master: Angels. On Monday Spike revealed that the special has now been turned into a series. Ink Master: Angels will consist of 10 episodes and debut this fall. The series will follow Ryan, Kelly, Nikki and Gia as they "travel the country and go head-to- head with some of America's most talented tattoo artists." The twist is that the competitors facing the four women will be fighting for a spot on season 10 of Ink Master, which will debut in 2018. The announcement doesn't come as a big surprise as Ink Master pulled in a 57% female audience for its eighth season — the largest number of female viewers in franchise history. The eighth season also crowned Ryan Ashley as its first female winner. For Ink Master showrunner and executive producer Andrea Richter, the idea to bring the women back came together "pretty quickly." "It's interesting having been there and filmed them for the first time and seeing all of them meet for the first time and bond," Richter said. "I think it was an obvious choice.

Studios Lot in Burbank, CA. The awards presentation was broadcast live on Pop at 8 p.m. EDT/5 p.m. PDT. “What an eclectic mix of the magnificent bounty that is Daytime Television,” said Bob Mauro, President, NATAS. “So many stars lighting up the red carpet at the iconic Warner Bros. Studio Lot in addition to the indefatigable, unparalleled Betty White as our Lifetime Achievement Award honoree. Two dramatic series, The Closer and Saving Grace, were presented on the same cable network and shared genre and design. Both featured female police detectives and demonstrated an acute awareness of postmodern feminism. The Closer was very successful, yet Saving Grace, was cancelled midway through the third season. A close study of plot lines and character development in the shows will elucidate their fundamental differences that serve to explain their widely disparate reception by the viewing public.
