PATRIETTES WINDSOR st Windsor High School welcomes you to the 22 Annual Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Tournament. Please be advised that the dates for this year’s 2018 - 19 tournament will be Tuesday, January 22 through Thursday, January 24. We will operate two gymnasiums for the entirety of the tournament. Two games will be played each night in each gym. Therefore, game times will be 5:00pm and 6:30pm each night, depending on where you are placed in the bracket. A first place, second place, and consolation trophy will be awarded. Home team is on the top of the bracket and will wear white uniforms. Cheerleaders in uniform and bus drivers are admitted free at the gate. Buses should unload in the front of the high school and park next in our lower parking lot along our fence line. TEAM ROSTER to [email protected] , (b.) PASS-LIST of Cheerleaders, Managers and Statisticians. Practice balls will be provided. A hospitality room for COACHES, ADMINISTRATORS, OFFICIALS, & BUS DRIVERS will be available in room 200-B (next to commons area). Locker rooms will be provided but will remain open during the tournament due to multiple teams needing access please do not leave any team items or valuables in the locker room. Bring all team items to the gyms during game play. Tournament cost will be shared equally amongst the participating schools. Dual Credit is when a student is earning both High School and College Credit for a class that is being taught by an MSD teacher at either MHS or OHS. Dual Credit Eligibility Requirements •All students must have permission to participate from a designated school official. •Juniors/Seniors are automatically eligible if they have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. •Juniors/Seniors with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5-2.99 must provide a signed letter of recommendation from the content area teacher along with written parent permission. Please understand that Fox will not be responsible for missing valuables. ● Emergencies: An athletic trainer, Mr. Tom Nash, will be present for all tournament games. ● Tournament Format: o Pool play matches will consist of two games to 25 points, starting at 6 points, and capped at 27 points. ▪ The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semi-finals. The team with the best record from each pool will play the team with the second best record from the opposite gym. Criteria is best overall record, head to head competition, (if split or three way tie) total points differential. If there is still a tie those two teams will play one game, starting at zero points to 15, with a 17 point cap to determine who moves on.
