Dual Credit is when a student is earning both High School and College Credit for a class that is being taught by an MSD teacher at either MHS or OHS. Students must meet the requirements which are determined by the Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education. Dual Credit Eligibility Requirements •All students must have permission to participate from a designated school official. •Juniors/Seniors are automatically eligible if they have a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. •Juniors/Seniors with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5-2.99 must provide a signed letter of recommendation from the content area teacher along with written parent permission. Dual Credit Eligibility Requirements (cont.) •Sophomores must have a minimum cumulative unweighted 3.0 GPA and must provide a signed letter of recommendation from the content area teacher and written parent permission. •Freshman must have a minimum cumulative unweighted 3.0 GPA, score at the 90th percentile or above on the ACT/SAT and must provide a signed letter of recommendation from the content area teacher. Written permission from the student’s parent is also required. Advanced Placement (AP) Program AP is a program created by the College Board, which offers college-level curricula and examinations to high school students. -

2017-2018 Volleyball Tournament Fox High School Junior Varsity Girls’ Volleyball th ● Date: Saturday, October 7 2017 ● Location: Games will be played in the main gym and secondary gym at Fox High School. ● Teams: Fox, Seckman, Northwest, Kirkwood, Oakville, Rockwood Summit, Herculaneum, Hazelwood East ● Rosters: Rosters should be sent electronically to Sheryl Earls at [email protected] or th faxed to 636-282-5173 on or before Friday, September 29 . ● Cost: Participating schools will equally share the total cost of the tournament. st nd rd ● Awards: 1 , 2 , and 3 will be awarded. ● General Admission: $5Adults and $1 Students ● Hospitality Room: There will not be a hospitality room. ● Dressing Facilities: Locker rooms will be available. There will be two teams assigned per locker room. Don’t leave personal items unlocked in the locker room. Please understand that Fox will not be responsible for missing valuables. ● Emergencies: An athletic trainer, Mr. Tom Nash, will be present for all tournament games. ● Tournament Format: o Pool play matches will consist of two games to 25 points, starting at 6 points, and capped at 27 points. ▪ The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semi-finals. The team with the best record from each pool will play the team with the second best record from the opposite gym. Criteria is best overall record, head to head competition, (if split or three way tie) total points differential. If there is still a tie those two teams will play one game, starting at zero points to 15, with a 17 point cap to determine who moves on. -
