Off-Campus Proctoring Sites within Missouri Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) Proctored Exam Requirement Each OTC online course requires one proctored exam (math courses may require more than one exam). This proctored exam may be administered at any OTC location or at an approved off-campus location as requested by the student via the Off-Campus Proctored Exam Request Form (see below for link). All off-campus locations must be in accordance with OTC proctoring specifications and must be pre-approved by the course instructor for appropriateness.     THE CARL FRICKS SPORTSMANSHIP SCHOLARSHIP PRESENTED BY THE SPORTS COMMISSION ASSOCIATES PAST RECIPIENTS | 2009 - 2017 LEOR GOLDFARB - 2017 LADUE HIGH SCHOOL The Sports Commission Associates awarded Leor Goldfarb its top Sportsmanship Scholarship honor for 2017. The Ladue varsity wrestling and lacrosse captain will receive $10,000 to begin his college education. Leor’s class, humility and selflessness eclipse any feat he has achieved on the field or on the mat. In the semifinals of the district wrestling tournament, Leor was down seven points to his opponent from Hannibal. Late in the second period, Leor was injured by an illegal slam from his opponent. The referee gave him two options: He could have his opponent disqualified for the illegal move and automatically advance to the state finals or forfeit the match and allow his opponent to advance. Leor chose to forfeit the match and let his opponent move on to state. In a letter to the Ladue superintendent, Hannibal coach Derek Greening said, “I am not sure how many individuals and coaches would make the same decision. It takes an enormous amount of character and class to make a decision like this. In 16 years of coaching, I have seen many students default for much less to guarantee themselves a win.” This is just one instance that exemplifies Leor’s sportsmanship. He’s known for being supportive of teammates and opponents alike, and as relayed by his athletic director, Leor “knows what happens in sports is greater than the outcome of the game or match being held.” MATT FERENCE - 2017 LAFAYETTE HIGH SCHOOL Matt Ference played football and baseball at Lafayette High School, but it is the way he channeled his talent into remarkable kindness that makes him worthy of the Sportsmanship Scholarship.

Saeger Northwest Missouri State University THESIS APPROVED Thesis Advisor Date Dean of Graduate School Date Kingdom of Callaway 2 Abstract During the American Civil War, Callaway County, Missouri had strong sympathies for the Confederate States of America. As a rebellious region, Union forces occupied the county for much of the war, so local secessionists either stayed silent or faced arrest. After a tense, nonviolent interaction between a Federal regiment and a group of armed citizens from Callaway, a story grew about a Kingdom of Callaway. The legend of the Kingdom of Callaway is merely one characteristic of the curious history that makes Callaway County during the Civil War an intriguing study. Kingdom of Callaway 3 Introduction When Missouri chose not to secede from the United States at the beginning of the American Civil War, Callaway County chose its own path. The local Callawegians seceded from the state of Missouri and fashioned themselves into an independent nation they called the Kingdom of Callaway. Or so goes the popular legend. Ava's Grace Scholarship Program Are students who are pursuing a Certificate eligible? yes The Ava’s Grace Scholarship Program provides scholarship grants of $5,000 for students who have experienced parental incarceration. These grants are renewal through graduation or a maximum of 8 semesters. Students who live anywhere in Missouri or in the Illinois counties that comprise the St. Louis metropolitan area are eligible to apply. To be eligible to be considered for this scholarship you must: * Have a parent who is or has been incarcerated in a U.S. penitentiary (state or federal) * Be a permanent resident of Missouri, or the Illinois counties of Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe or St. Clair for at least two years prior to the date of the application * Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or similar need calculations * Have earned a minimum 2.0 cumulative grade point average * Plan to attend an accredited, nonprofit college or university * Be seeking a first technical, first associate or first bachelor’s degree Centennial Collaboration Scholarship Are students who are pursuing a Certificate eligible? yes The Centennial Collaboration Scholarship is a collaboration between The Scholarship Foundation of St. Louis and three partner organizations (Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri, College Bound, and Wyman's Teen Leadership Program), whose active participants are eligible for consideration.
