ITU OB 764-E / 3 Approval and deletion of ITU-T Recommendations A. By TSB Circular 98 of 12 March 2002, it was announced that the following new ITU-T Recommendation was approved, in accordance with the procedures outlined in ITU-T Recommen- dation A.8: – ITU-T Recommendation X.692: Information technology – ASN.1 Encoding rules: Specification of Encoding Control Notation (ECN) B. By TSB Circular 93 of 18 March 2002, it was announced that the following ITU-T Recommen- dations were deleted, in accordance with the procedures outlined in Resolution 1, Section 9, of the WTSA (Montreal, 2000): – ITU-T Recommendation B.12: Use of the decibel and the neper in telecommunications – ITU-T Recommendation G.100, Annex A – ITU-T Recommendation P.30: Transmission performance of group audio terminals (GATs) The conditions governing the deletion of these ITU-T Recommendations were met and 27 Member States participating in the meeting of Study Group 12 (Dakar, from 22 to 26 October 2001) proposed to delete these ITU-T Recommendations. Thirteen Administrations of Member States responded to the consultation on 17 March 2002, and no objection to this deletion was received. Maritime Mobile Service China Communication of 22.IV.2002: The Administration of China announces that the new telephone number of MRCC Hongkong Marine Department is as follows: 2233 7999. List of coast stations (List IV) (18th Edition – 2002) Note from the BR The 18th Edition of the List of Coast Stations has been published and will be sent shortly to subscribers. By Publication Notice No. 178-02 of 7 March 2002, the ITU has addressed to the Administrations and recognized operating agencies (ROAs) the order form for this List. Administrations/ROAs are invited to complete the order form and return it to the ITU Sales and Marketing Division. ITU OB 764-E / 4 Telegram Service Netherlands Communication of 2.V.2002: Reopening of the telegram service for Norway and Sweden Unitel, Alteveer, announces that it has reopened the international telegram service to and from the following countries: – Norway (as from 1 January 2002) and – Sweden (as from 1 May 2002). Unitel operates telegram service with these countries through local offices. Telegrams with the special service indications LX (De luxe form), LXDEUIL (De luxe form of condolence), FAXx (Facsimile delivery) and TLXx (Telex delivery) (ITU-T Recommendation F.1 A11, A256-258, A84-89) are possible. All traffic will be routed via British Telecom (BT) in Coventry, United Kingdom, who will also handle Unitel’s settlement of accounts using cascade method for telegram service.
