We are confident you will agree that Toronto York University is the perfect setting for this premier Ultimate Championship. WFDF is pleased to see 38 teams from 19 countries and some 900 players participating in this year’s WU23. WFDF had hosted the first World U23 Ultimate championship 2010 in Florence, Italy, and starting this year we hope to stage a tournament for this age group every two years. We expect some incredible energy when the next generation of top players from around the world assembles in Canada for this second edition of the event. This year’s WU23 brings back a WFDF-sanctioned event to Canada, one of WFDF’s largest and most competitive members, for the first time in five years. We would like to thank the Tournament Organizing Committee, co-headed by Tournament Directors Jason Robinson and Ian Brooks, and Ultimate Canada for all their hard work and support, and we can confirm that they have done their utmost to host the best event possible for all participants. The campus facilities of the University and the close proximity of the fields and accommodations should provide many opportunities for all our athletes to meet each other and interact in both a competitive and social setting. We wish all teams competitive success and hope that you have an enjoyable tournament, with great memories that will last for years to come!
