Issue 1 / 2007 h ttp :// y www.doe.gov.m Natural Heritage of BEAUTIFUL MALAYSIA Majestic Beautiful Malaysia, with its long coastline and numerous archipelagoes, tropical rain forests, geological formations and cave systems, unique geomorphology, rivers, and mountain ranges, has diverse ecosystems that support and sustain a rich flora and fauna population. In fact Malaysia is cited as one of the 12 mega biodiverse systems in the world. In the pages that follow, the reader will be taken through an exhilarating tour of our rich natural heritage. But on this page we shall focus our attention on the majestic Mt. Kinabalu, an iconic landmark and a national pride.
