They will clinch the section if they avoid defeat against Norway. • Norway, certain of a play-off berth, are two points behind Italy and as many ahead of Croatia, who visit Malta in their final fixture. Norway, having lost 5-1 in Croatia and won the return fixture 2-0, need to win in Rome to be certain of a top-two finish. Should Croatia win, a draw or a defeat would send Norway into the play-offs. Previous meetings • Simone Zaza's first international goal and an effort from defender Leonardo Bonucci secured Italy a 2-0 win in Norway on 9 September 2014. It was Antonio Conte's first match in charge of the Azzurri. • That was the first time since Italy beat Norway 3-1 in Oslo in a friendly on 27 May 1937 that there had been a margin of more than a goal between the sides. • Norway's record in 16 games against Italy is W3 D4 L9. The nations also met on neutral territory at the 1938, 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cup finals, Italy winning all three matches by single-goal margins. Form guide • Italy are unbeaten in 38 home qualifiers (W32 D6) since a 3-2 loss to Denmark in September 1999. However, they have been eking out results at home of late; their record in their last seven competitive home fixtures is W5 D2, with none of those victories by a margin of more than one goal. • Italy have yet to lose in 15 competitive games in Rome (W10 D5). • Norway have won three of their four Group H away trips – the exception being a 5-1 defeat in Croatia in March. Disciplinary • The latest booking list is available here: http://www.uefa.org/disciplinary/disciplinary-cases/booking-lists/index.html. Trivia and links • Italian clubs' record in 27 UEFA competition games against Norwegian sides reads W19 D5 L3 (W11 D0 L2 at home – W8 D5 L1 in Norway). 4 Italy - Norway Tuesday 13 October 2015 - 20.45CET (20.45 local time) Match press kit Olimpico in Rome, Rome Squad list Italy Current season Overall Qual. SRPNA – 20.15 HOD. Pavel Vrba hlavní trenér FC Viktoria Plzeň Dear sport fans, Let me invite you in today‘s game retaliatory in the third round of the Champions League, in which we host Rosenborg BK from Norway.

  • Olympiacos CFP V Rosenborg BK
Olympiacos CFP v Rosenborg BK Georgios Karaiskakis - Athens Tuesday, 13 September 2005 - 20:45 (CET) Group stage - Group F - Matchday 1 Match officials Referee Stefano Farina (ITA) Assistant referees Andrea Consolo (ITA), Massimo Biasutto (ITA) Fourth official Enrico Rocchi (ITA) UEFA delegate Barry Taylor (ENG) Match preview Olympiacos set greater goals Having gone tantalisingly close to reaching the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League last season, Olympiacos CFP hope to "show their true colours" this term and progress from the group stage for only the second time in ten attempts. 'Early goal' The Greek champions begin their Group F campaign at home to Rosenborg BK on Tuesday with coach Trond Sollied calling on his side to make an early impression ahead of likely tougher tests against Real Madrid CF and Olympique Lyonnais. "There are 18 points up for grabs in the group and we must take as many as we can from each match," said Sollied, a former Rosenborg coach and player whose last experience of Champions League football was at the helm of Club Brugge KV. "If we can get an early goal [on Tuesday] it will certainly boost our chances." False dawns Olympiacos are well used to false dawns in Europe, although they were unlucky not to advance with their tally of ten points in Group A last season. At half-time on Matchday 6 they led Liverpool FC 1-0, and were still on course for the first knockout round at 2-1 down with four minutes to play when Steven Gerrard struck a stunning winner to propel the English team towards the next stage (and eventual glory) and the Piraeus outfit into the UEFA Cup.
