BBC Radio 6 Music Festival – Additional information for ticket holders

Important Information

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the full advertised bill performs, this ticket is for a festival event and not a specific artiste or band. Please note there are set capacities for each individual stage or attraction at this event, once they reach the maximum capacities there will be admissions management controls put in place.

FAQS

What time does the event start and finish? Doors at Sage Gateshead will open at 5pm for ticket holders to enter the venue with the first band on stage at 5:30pm. The event will finish at 11:00pm.

How old do you have to be to attend? Minimum age is 16. Anyone aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. People who are considered by door stewards to look under 18 may be required to produce photo ID (Passports or Driving Licence, etc). If the door stewards have any doubt regarding the legitimacy of the ID produced they will not admit that person to the venue. Refunds will not be issued to ticket holders refused entry because they cannot provide proof of age.

Can I bring food and drink into the event? No food or drink can be brought into the venue. There will be bars selling drinks throughout the night. The venue operates Challenge 21. If you appear to be Under 21 you will be asked to prove you are over 18. Please bring photo ID in the form of a passport or valid driving license.

Does a ticket to The BBC 6 Music Festival by Night also entitle me to attend the 6 Music Festival By Day or 6 Music Festival Late events? No. Your ticket only allows you access to BBC 6 Music Festival by Night on Saturday 21st February at Sage Gateshead. Tickets do not include access to any other BBC 6 Music Festival by Night or BBC 6 Music Late events, nor does it include access to any BBC 6 Music Festival by Day events.

How to Listen and Watch

BBC Radio 6 Music will be broadcasting from the festival across the weekend with the network’s presenters coming live from many of the venues, day and night. The station will air many of the evening performances live from 02 Academy Newcastle and Sage Gateshead, as well as selected performance for the ‘Festival By Day’ events. Others will be recorded and aired in shows later in the week and on future dates.

You’ll be able to watch many of the performances at bbc.co.uk/6music, on BBC iPlayer and on the BBC Red Button across the weekend. You’ll also be able to see all the photos and latest updates on the 6 Music Website and by following @bbc6music on Twitter
