PGA Championship Picks 2013 PGA Championship Picks 2013 The PGA Championship picks are based on recent performance and historical performance at the event. Picks can be verified by checking out the statistics page on the web site. Others to consider are based on other various factors, stats, trends, etc. Tiger Woods – Woods is the favorite, per usual. Henrik Stenson – Stenson has 4 top 10 finishes in a row coming into this event, he’s one of the hottest players going right now and he has 2 top 10s in his last 3 outings at the PGA Championship – 2008 and 2009 (when he was one of the top players in the world). Keegan Bradley – Bradley finished 2nd last week at Bridgestone. He finished 3rd at the PGA last year and won it 2 years ago. Phil Mickelson – Mickelson has 2 wins in his last 3 tournaments played. The PGA hasn’t been his best major in the past few years, but he has won it before. Justin Rose – Rose is on a trend and he’s 2 top 10s at the PGA in his last 5 years played (bookending 3 missed cuts…). Zach Johnson – Johnson has 3 top 10s in a row coming into the PGA and he finished 3rd and 10th at this event in 2010 and 2009, respectively. Brandt Snedeker – Snedeker won the Canadian Open a couple weeks ago, but cooled down with a 33rd at Bridgestone. Not the best record at the PGA, but he’s been playing well lately. Jason Dufner – Dufner is on a 3 week trend and has 2 top 10s in the last 3 years at the PGA. Bill Haas – Haas is on a small trend and is coming off a 7th place finish at Bridgestone. Steve Stricker – Stricker has 2 top 10s in his last 3 events played, he finished 13th last week at Bridgestone and he finished 7th last year at the PGA and 12th in 2011. Others to consider, in no particular order: Bubba Watson, Ian Poulter, Jamie Donaldson, Luke Donald, Harris English, Adam Scott, Angel Cabrera, Marcel Siem, Joost Luiten, Matt Kuchar, Rory McIlroy, Graeme McDowell, Lee Westwood. .

  • “Golf Superheroes” at the BMW International Open. Double Major
Press Information 16th April 2015 “Golf superheroes” at the BMW International Open. Double major winner Kaymer, “Ice Man” Stenson, “Spiderman” Villegas, and “Iron Man” Cejka join BMW champions Siem and Casey in Munich. Munich. For almost three decades, the stars of the golf scene have assembled in Germany for a showdown at the BMW International Open. This tradition is set to continue at the 27th staging of the prestigious tournament (23rd to 28th June 2015, Golfclub München Eichenried). Fans can already look forward to an attractive field. Martin Kaymer remains the only German to have won the BMW International Open. That victory came back in 2008, at the 20th anniversary of the tournament at Golfclub München Eichenried. Since then, Kaymer has established himself as one of the very best in the world, successfully overcoming a bit of a slump in the process. The former world number one impressed the golfing world last season with his second major victory after the 2010 US PGA Championship. The man from Düsseldorf won the U.S. Open with a sensational score of nine under par and an eight-shot lead over the opposition. In Autumn, Kaymer celebrated his third Ryder Cup triumph with the European team. His many fans in Germany can look forward to another appearance at the BMW International Open from the top German golfer at this time. Kaymer finished tied in fourth place on his last outing in Munich in 2013 – just four shots off what would have been a second German victory. Henrik Stenson is currently ranked number three in the world and the Swede, who enjoys a huge fan base all over the world, will be out to put on a good show for his many fans in Germany.

This year, the 32-year-old will return to the scene of that success, as he bids to claim a second title. The three- time Ryder Cup winner will be joined at the BMW International Open (21st to 25th June) by the remaining six German pros playing their golf on the European Tour this season. “I am already looking forward to the BMW International Open in Munich,” said Kaymer. “It is particularly nice for me to play in front of the home fans in my native Germany. Furthermore, the victory at the 2008 BMW International Open will always remain a very special title for me – that is why I am always so pleased to return to this fantastic tournament.” Kaymer defeated Denmark’s Anders Hansen in a play-off in 2008, following a real rollercoaster ride of a final round.

  • European Tour Tournament Preview and Tips – Abu Dhabi Hsbc Championship
EUROPEAN TOUR TOURNAMENT PREVIEW AND TIPS – ABU DHABI HSBC CHAMPIONSHIP 16 JAN 2017 POSTED BY NICK MARTIN 0 COMMENT All the big names are out in force this week. In recent years the HSBC Championship in Abu Dhabi has been like a major in terms of the field of players it attracts and this year it is certainly no exception. 3 of the world’s top 5 ranked players feature this week as many consider it the springboard to their 2017 season as they all compete for a cut of the $2,700,000 prize purse. With Rory narrowly missing out last week at the BMW South African Open, a win this week will see the 4time major winning champion back in the number one spot UPDATE – Rory McIlroy pulls out of 2017 Abu Dhabi Golf Championship due to injury. Last years winner Rickie Fowler also returns to the field and is sure to be looking to defend his title on a course he clearly likes. Here’s an insight into the course, the tournament and who we think will do well at this year’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. TOURNAMENT HISTORY Making its European Tour debut in January 2006, the HSBC championship has always had a knack of attracting golf’s biggest names and last year boasted the strongest field on the European tour with the exception of the 4 majors. Previous winners include twotime major winning champion Martin Kaymer who has his name on the trophy 3 times already, England’s Paul Casey and Wales’ Jamie Donaldson.
