Press Release RESOLUTION PROPERTY ACQUIRES MANCHESTER’S GREAT NORTHERN WAREHOUSE FOR £71.1 MILLION October 2013 - Second purchase for Resolution Fund IV offers value creation opportunities though active asset management- - Peterson Group joins Resolution in latest co-investment opportunity - Resolution Property has exchanged contracts to buy the 339,000-sq-ft Great Northern Warehouse retail and leisure development in Manchester from Capital & Regional plc for £71.1 million. The deal, in which leading Hong Kong property company Peterson Group is a co-investor with Resolution, represents the second acquisition on behalf of Resolution Real Estate Fund IV, following its purchase in July 2013 of a 100,000-sq-ft former department store in Whitechapel, London E1 for conversion into a media hub. It is Resolution's second co-investment with Peterson HK, following the latter's acquisition of a significant stake in the Quadrangle redevelopment in London's West End earlier this year. The Great Northern Warehouse is a mixed-use scheme anchored by a mulitplex cinema, lifestyle retail brands, bars and restaurants, plus car 1,255 car spaces. The acquisition gives Resolution a seven-acre site in a prime position in Manchester, between the Beetham Tower and the Great Northern Tower. In line with Resolution’s strategy of enhancing value through creative asset management, it is exploring a number of opportunities for mixed-use refurbishment and development, to complement the existing line-up of strong retail and leisure brands already on site. Robert Wolstenholme, Director at Resolution Property, said: “The Great Northern Warehouse is a strong regional asset which, as a result of some good letting activity, benefits from a healthy income stream from a diverse range of occupiers, including a number interesting independent operators who are breathing new life into the property. -

There is a narrow strip of land to the rear on Bow Lane that has been used for car parking. Bow Lane is a narrow street that is used to service some properties. -

Manchester City Council Item 6 Executive 13 December 2017 Manchester City Council Report for Information Report to: Executive – 13 December 2017 Subject: Grenfell Tower – Update on the Implications for Manchester Report of: Strategic Director (Development) Summary Executive received reports in June and September following the tragic fire at Grenfell Tower. This report provides an update on the actions that have been undertaken since September. It also specifically details the work that has been undertaken to identify the risks in relation to privately-owned high rise residential buildings. Recommendations 1. Executive is requested to note the work undertaken to date 2. Executive is recommended to approve the installation of sprinklers within Council-owned tower blocks following consultation with residents at an estimated cost of £10.5 million for a full installation in each flat. 7 Manchester’s Historic Character – Analysis and Recommendations 7.1 Unenclosed land broad type Figure 4 The area of the former Shadow Moss is indicated by the distinctive field boundary patterns depicted on OS 6” 1 st edition mapping of c1882 Description This character type comprises areas that are currently of low economic value and where there is little or no settlement. It includes marginal land such as open mossland and marsh, and other unimproved land which may nonetheless be exploited, such as common land, pasture and moorland. Unenclosed land only occurs in Manchester district as a previous type. 7.1.1 Open moorland Description and historical context Moorland does not exist as a current type within the Manchester landscape; it appears as a previous type only in the Baguley Moor area. Some areas of the former moorland have not been developed and although their character has changed, they may still contain palaeoenvironmental and archaeological evidence. 27 For example, the playing fields associated with Brookway High School (HLC Ref HGM13548) and the playing fields east of Church Stoke Walk (HLC Ref HGM13842) have both been enclosed from farmland that was formerly moorland. 7.1.2 Mossland Description and historical context Although there is no surviving untouched mossland in Manchester, there were several mosses in the district in the past. Mossland has thus been recorded as a previous rather than a current character type. Like the upland moors, the former lowland mosses were probably enclosed at a relatively late date. The three main former mosses in Manchester are Hough Moss in the area which is now Moss Side and Whalley Range; Shadow Moss, near Moss Nook and Manchester Airport in the south of the district; and White Moss, near Charlestown in the northern part of the district. -
