Auch für den Trainer war es nochmal eine herbe Enttäuschung. „Ein enges Spiel war es eigentlich nur beim ersten Bully. Nürnberg hat die Powerplay-Tore im ersten Drittel erzielt und war über 60 Minuten die klar über- legene Mannschaft.“ Vor dem heutigen Wochenende mit den Partien gegen Straubing und Wolfsburg nutzten wir die Zeit, um mit Rob Daum über den bisherigen Verlauf der Saison zu sprechen. Zunächst berichtete der Coach über die kurze Pause ohne Spiel und Training und wie er sie für sich genutzt hat. „Ich bin in Iserlohn geblieben und habe mir Pläne gemacht, für die weitere Arbeit mit dem Team und für das Training.“ Nach der Pause begann dann die Vorbereitung mit der Mann- schaft. Der Trainer zufrieden, „die Spieler haben die Pause gut genutzt und sind erholt zurück gekehrt. Alle sind positiv an die neue Woche herangegangen. Wir haben Dinge neu besprochen und sind bereit, etwas neues zu probieren.“ Die Woche über hat er dann seine Mannschaft für die neuen Aufgaben vorbereitet. Wie alle Mannschaften der DEL, sieht der Coach auch Straubing und Wolfsburg auf einem hohen Niveau. „Ich mag diese Teams. Sie sind taktisch und spielerisch gut und du musst deine beste Leistung abrufen, um sie zu schlagen.“ Vor allem der heutige Gegner aus Wolfsburg ist nach dem Trai- nerwechsel noch schwieriger auszurechnen.
