GOVERNMENT of MEGHALAYA OFFICE of the DEPUTY COMMISSIONER :: EAST KHASI HILLS DISTRICT SHILLONG No. C&S.2/CVD/2021/ORD/269 GOVERNMENT OF MEGHALAYA OFFICE OF THE DEPUTY COMMISSIONER :: EAST KHASI HILLS DISTRICT SHILLONG No. C&S.2/CVD/2021/ORD/269 Dated Shillong, the 21st August, 2021 ORDER In pursuance to this Office Order No.C&S.3/2009/Pt.III/132, dated 21st August, 2021, home delivery and e-commerce services are permitted with due regulation by this office, and in the interest of restricting movement as much as possible within the district during the enforcement of Strict Containment Measures w.e.f. 23rd August, 2021, it is hereby ordered that:- 1. Home Delivery Services in respect of Restaurants/Kitchens/Café/Fast Foods/Bakeries that have already applied to this office and listed at Annexure I & Annexure II respectively are permitted to open daily from 9:00Am to 7:00Pm w.e.f 23rd August, 2021 (Monday) till 29th August, 2021 (Sunday). Only delivery executives who have sought approval from this office will be permitted to deliver food items, as per regulation of number of passes on each day. Dine-in is not permitted. 2. Take-away service of food in respect of Restaurants/Kitchens/Café/Fast Foods/Bakeries including Tea & Sweet Shops is permitted only upto 5:00Pm on the days of the week for which the local market/shops in the zones will be allowed to open as per order No. C&S.2/CVD/2021/ORD/267, dated 21st August, 2021 and strictly as per SOPs given by this office. 3. e-Commerce services and courier services are permitted subject to prior permission from this office and restriction of the number of delivery personnel moving. List of personnel/vehicle numbers is to be provided to the office of the undersigned with the application. Further, warehouses/distribution points/godowns will strictly adhere to protocols and function at limited capacity. 4. Other establishments catering to delivery of food/rations and other necessities to Hospitals/Corona Care Centres/Quarantine Centres which have already received permission from this Office are permitted to continue. 5. Home delivery of Essential Food Commodities including Dry Ration/Meat/Vegetables/Fruits/Toiletries is permitted. 6. Home delivery of any other goods will be on specific request and based on need only. 7. All correspondence in this regard to be made to [email protected] or [email protected]. 8. Any establishment / service which is under a containment zone is not permitted to open. No positive / symptomatic persons will work. Any staff / delivery executive tested positive shall immediately report to the nearest Health Centre or to this office. They will be strictly isolated. 9. All establishments will comply with Order No. C&S.2/CVD/2021/ORD/159, dated 24th June, 2021 and make efforts to complete vaccination at the earliest and submit the details of vaccinated/unvaccinated staff to this office at [email protected] failing which permission will be withdrawn forthwith. Proprietors will display the vaccination status of their staff in a conspicuous place at the store premises for all future reference and delivery executives will display theirs on their IDs. All concerned are to strictly follow the SOPs. Any laxity noted will be dealt with firmly as deemed fit & proper.     SECTOR SNAPSHOT UK FOOD & BEVERAGE M&A Gary Ecob ACTIVITY AND VALUATIONS Partner FOR H1 2017 Strong deal activity in the food & beverage sector M&A activity in the UK food & beverage sector showed signs of growth in H1 2017, with 67 deals completed involving UK target companies. This number exceeds the 57 deals completed in H2 2016 and the 63 deals finalised in H1 of last year. Trading multiples remained encouraging across the sector as a whole and disclosed deal values also showed growth. The period saw a number of significant Steve Nock transactions closed, including Tesco’s £3.7bn acquisition of wholesaler Booker and the acquisition of Manager cereal brand Weetabix by American corporate Post Holdings for £1.4bn. Businesses operating in the food service sub-sector (operators and supply chain) continue to attract interest from both at home and abroad, with 20 deals completed in this space. This activity has been assisted by a resilient eating out market with both visits and sales up in the past year. Private equity activity in the food and beverage sector as a whole continues to remain rife, with 12 deals completed in H1 2017.
