The growing urban community, driven by the extraordinary growth of population and migration, has led to unplanned and unsustainable urban development, creating many changes in their spatial development. (Bartonet, 2003: 18). At the same time, one of the factors influencing on the problems of urbanization and urbanism is the lack of attention to the spatial effects of economic policies in the countries; the lack of a logical connection between the distribution and allocation of investments with the factor of space and location on the one hand and Distribution of resources, on the other hand, involves unwanted spatial effects, including imbalances in the distribution of facilities and inequalities of income between regions and the tendency to focus on one or more limited points. Due to the importance of the role that middle cities can play, the need for research around it is felt more and more. In this research Iranshahr has been studied in Sistan and Baluchestan, the city has a heterogeneous development. -

Typhlodromus (Anthoseius) neyshabouris (Denmark & Daneshvar, 1982) were recorded for the second time. This species with the male of Proprioseiopsis messor (Wainstein, 1960) are redescribed and illustrated. A key to the adult females of the Razavi Khorasan province of Iran is also provided. Phytoseius corniger Wainstein, 1959 had the highest abundance and distribution in this survey. Key words: Predatory mite fauna, abundance, Mesostigmata, northeast Iran. Introduction Razavi Khorasan province is located in northeastern Iran. Mashhad is located in the center and is the capital of the province. Agriculture in Razavi Khorasan province is one of the largest and most important suppliers of agricultural products, with more than 1.06 million hectares under cultivation and horticultural crops play a decisive role in the economy of the province and country (Anonymous 2012). Predatory mites of the family Phytoseiidae are the most important natural enemies of tetranychid and eriophyid mites (Acari: Tetranychidae and Eriophyidae) (Gerson et al. 2003; Sabelis 1996). These mites feed on small insects such as whiteflies, thrips and scale insects as well as injurious plant mites. -

Typhlodromus bagdasarjani Wainstein & Arutunjan is a generalist indigenous phytoseiid mite with a wide distribution in Iran and frequently reported from plants infested by tetranychids. In this research, the preference of protonymph, deutonymph and adult of T. bagdasarjani on different stages of T. urticae was studied under laboratory conditions (25 ± 1°C, 75 ± 5% RH and 16L: 8D h. of photoperiod). The experiment was carried out on rose leaf square (blarodje variety). The preference index for each predator stage was calculated with Manly’s β index. Comparison of the mean preference index for protonymph (F = 135.61; df = 3, 84; P < 0.0001), deutonymph (F = 264.71; df = 3, 83; P < 0.0001) and female (F = 173.52; df = 4, 119; P < 0.0001) of the predator showed that all stages significantly preferred T. urticae eggs followed by prey larvae and protonymphs. Due to the our results can be suggested that T. urticae eggs are more profitable prey stage for T. bagdasarjani than other stages with regard to both nutritional benefit and handling time. This paper presents the redescription of six species belonging to two subgenera Typhlodromus (Anthoseius) De Leon and Typhlodromus (Typhlodromus) Scheuten (each with three species, respectively): T. (A.) bagdasarjani Wainstein & Arutunjan, T. (A.) kerkirae Swirski & Ragusa, T. (A.) khosrovensis Arutunjan, T. (T.) phialatus Athias–Henriot, T. (T.) leptodactylus Wainstein and T. (T.) tubifer Wainstein. It is the first record of T. (T.) phialatus Athias–Henriot for the Iranian phytoseiid fauna. Abstract: Medicinal plants have been used from the past to present. Different small arthropods such as Acari were found on these plants. Therefore a study on the Acari fauna associated with some medicinal plants (Family: Asteraceae) in Hamedan region was carried out during 2008–2009. In this survey, 23 species belonging to 18 genera from 15 different families of the subclass Acari were collected and identified. Two spotted spider mite (Tetranychus urticae Koch) was determined as an abundant phytophagous mite species in this study. Keywords: fauna, mites, phytophagous, predator, medicinal plants. Ce travail de thèse avait donc pour objectif de répondre à de telles questions pour deux genres : Phytoseiulus et Neoseiulella, en utilisant pour la première fois des approches phylogénétiques moléculaires et morphologiques. Ces études phylogénétiques ont été également associées à des études biogéographiques. Les résultats obtenus par ces deux approches sont congruents et semblent montrer que ces deux genres ne sont pas monophylétiques : le genre Phytoseiulus semble au mieux paraphylétique, tandis que le genre Neoseiulella serait polyphylétique. -

As Neoseiulus species are valuable predator mites, N. bicaudus could be used for biocontrol of some small pests like spider mites, whitefly, and thrips. Tetranychus turkestani (Ugarov et Nikolskii) is the main spider mite affecting agriculture and forestry in Xinjiang. The development rate and reproductive biology of N. bicaudus feeding on T. turkestani were studied at six constant temperatures: 18 ºC, 22 ºC, 26 ºC, 29 ºC, 32 ºC, and 35 ºC. The duration of the egg, larva, protonymph, total immature, and pre-oviposition stages all decreased as temperatures increased from 18 ºC to 32 ºC and then increased slightly as temperatures increased from 32 ºC to 35 ºC. The mean generation time (6.95 days) and the shortest time for the population to double (1.70 days) were observed at 35 ºC. The intrinsic rate λ of natural increase (rm) and the finite rate of increase ( ) both were larger as temperature increased, reaching their maxima at 35 ºC.
