GAYATRI VIDYA PARISHAD COLLEGE FOR DEGREE AND P.G COURSES (A) GAMES AND SPORTS ACHIEVEMENTS 2018-19

Gayatri Vidya Parishad college for Degree and PG courses(A) has great achievement in sports, and games. The athletes are giving their best in every category they participate in games such as FOOT BALL, BASKET BALL, CHESS ,VOLLEY BALL,HAND BAL, POWER LIFTING,JUDO,etc.

Out college teams represented at Inter collegiate, Inter university, District level , State level, National and International level. We are proud to mention our students are bringing great reputation to the college.

The following are the achievements of our students:-

1. BASKET BALL(Women):- our GVP degree and PG.college women basket ball

team participated in the Inter collegiate Basket ball

tournament at St.Josephs women’s college and stood III THIRD PLACE. After a

rigorous practice senior the girls had participated successfully.

2. BASKET BALL(men):- our GVP degree and PG.college men basket ball team

participate in the ANDHRA UNIVERSITY Inter collegiate tournament held at

ANDHRA UNIVERSITY grounds. In this tournament our college team Stood IV

FOURTH PLACE. Two players from our college were selected for ANDHRA

UNIVERSITY Basket ball team and participated at South zone Inter university

Basket ball tournament held at S.R.M UNIVERSITY, CHENNAI.

PLACE in the ANDHRA UNIVERSITY Inter collegiate tournament and two Players participated at south zone Inter University football Tournament at PONDICHERRY

also.

4. SWIMMING:- Our GVP college and PG.student G.vishal yadav from B.sc

(MB.BT.BC) to participate all India Inter University Swimming Championship at JAIN

UNIVERSITY, BENGALURE and L.Lakshmilaya of I B.sc(MECS) also participated at State

Level Swimming championship and bagged 3 medals(1 gold and 2 Silver).

5. BOXING:- Our GVP college degree and PG.college student Ch.Jogesh of B.com II participated in 91kgs Gold medal and Ch. Dinakaran from III B.sc(MECS) 81Kgs silver medal in ANDHRA UNIVERSITY Inter collegiate Boxing Championship 2018 held at

SWARNA BHARTI INDOOR STADIUM,VISAKHAPATNAM. 6. SKATING:- Our GVP college student T. Preethi Naidu of B.sc I year (MPCS) participated ANDHRA UNIVERSITY collegiate Roller Skating Championship. She was selected in all India Inter University Roller Skating Championship 2018. This tournament held at in ROHTAK UNIVERSITY HARYANA, PUNJAB and she was also participated in district level Roller Skating Tournaments She got 4 medals in various levels of skating events (3 SILVER and 1 BRONZE) and she was selected State Level

Roller Skating Championship.

7. KARATE:- Our GVP Degree and PG.COLLEGE students Participted ANDHRA

UNIVERSITY Inter collegiate Karate Championship tournament held at ANDHRA

Three girls are selected all India Inter University Karate Championship held at Haryana. Our student G. Jahanavi Chandra Rekha also participated 5th National

BUDOKANKarate Championship 2018 got GOLD medal.

Madhu III B.sc (MPCS) and P.Prasad II B.sc (MPCS) participated 16th Suman cup

National level Karate Championship got SILVER and BRONZE medal.

8. CRICKET:- Our GVP Degree and PG. College Cricket team participated in cricket championship 2018. Our team going to semi-finals level in this tournament and also our cricket team participating in centurion university invitation cricket tournament held at PARLAKIMIDI in ORISA.

9.TARGETBALL:- P.Sumanth of II B.sc (MPCS) he was selected in National target ball team representing in our Indian team participated 1st Asian cup in Asian target ball championship held at Bhutan in this tournaments our Indian team secured 1st place in this tournament.

 P.SUMANTH was select Andhra university target ball team selections and he was

participated ALL INDIA INTER UNIVERSITY TARGETBALL TOURNAMENTS GOT SILVER MEDAL

10. SHOOTING:- Our GVP Degree and PG. College students B.Bhavya of I B.sc

(MB.BT.BC) participated in all India Inter University RIFLE Shooting competition held at

PUNJAB University, CHANDIGARH. In this event she ranked 84 out of 1600 players

*. And also she was participated in UTTRA ANDHRA RIFLE Shooting competition held at

YMCA in VISAKHAPATNAM and the event was held by visakha district RIFLE associatio*

. And also she was participated in UTTRA ANDHRA RIFLE Shooting competition held at

YMCA in VISAKHAPATNAM and the event was held by visakha district RIFLE association and she also achieved 2 gold medals in Junior and senior category. 11.KABBADI (MEN) :- our college Student P.EESWARA RAO( I BC A) Participated

District level Beach kabbadi Tournament-- -2018 (visakha utsav)held at R.K beach,

Visakhapatnam from 26-12-2018 to 28-12-2018

 And he Selected State Level Beach kabbadi Tournaments held at Nellore

ANDHRA PRADESH

 P.EESWR RAO Participated State level men kabbadi tournaments he secured

winners in this tournament ,and he was select national level kabbadi (men)-

2019 which was held at Vijayawada ,.

 12. KICK BOXING (MEN &WOMEN) :-our college 3 students was participated inter collegiate kick boxing selections, and selected Andhra university kick boxing team those are participated ALL INDIA INTER UNIVERSITY KICK BOXING CHAMPION SHIP got nation level inter university medals

Not only the above achievements GVP Degree and PG.college teams badminton(men and women), valley ball(men), chess(men and women), athletics teams are participated in ANDHRA UNIVERSITY Inter collegiate tournament and they gave a best performance in their respected events. And our college football team is going to participate in district level football club tourment in Visakhapatnam in various football clubs.
