Final Report Final Report of the Forty-first Antarctic Treaty Consultative Meeting Buenos Aires, Argentina, 16-18 May 2018 (1) Pursuant to Article IX of the Antarctic Treaty, Representatives of the Consultative Parties (Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, the Czech Republic, Ecuador, Finland, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, the Russian Federation, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Ukraine, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America, and Uruguay) met in Buenos Aires from 16 to 18 May 2018, for the purpose of exchanging information, holding consultations and considering and recommending to their Governments measures in furtherance of the principles and objectives of the Treaty. (2) The Meeting was also attended by delegations from the following Contracting Parties to the Antarctic Treaty which were not Consultative Parties: Belarus, Canada, Colombia, Malaysia, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Turkey and Venezuela. (3) In accordance with Rules 2 and 31 of the Rules of Procedure, Observers from the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR), the Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR), and the Council of Managers of National Antarctic Programs (COMNAP) attended the meeting. (4) In accordance with Rule 39 of the Rules of Procedure, Experts from the following international organisations and non-governmental organisations attended the Meeting: the Antarctic and Southern Ocean Coalition (ASOC), the Secretariat of the Agreement on the Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels (ACAP), the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO), and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO). 15 ATCM XLI Final Report (5) The Host Country Argentina fulfilled its information requirements towards the Contracting Parties, Observers
