COPYRIGHT IN CINEMATOGRAPHY AND AUDIOVISUAL – SOCIETY OF ROMANIAN AUTHORS FOR AUDIOVISUAL WORKS
The first Romanian non-profit professional association constituted by a group of audiovisual authors in 1996, acting as collective management organization according to the Romanian Copyright Office’s Decision No. 1/1997. The sole collecting society appointed to collect, on Romanian territory, the royalties owed to audiovisual authors (screenwriters and directors) for the use of their works – cinematographic works, animated works, documentary films and other audiovisual works of fiction lasting more than 5 minutes. Manages the rights of around 500 Romanian authors (comprising approximately 19.000 audiovisual works) and 138.000 foreign authors 14th edition (comprising approximately 2.200.000 audiovisual works). Our activity is also about promoting the Romanian cinematography at national and international level and supporting the authors in the 4 - 13 October creation process. Bucharest, Romania
