Staff from the office of Career Services surveyed alumni who received undergraduate degrees from UMD between July 1, 2011 and June 30, 2012. This report is based on responses from 1729 graduates (91% of the reported 1901 undergraduate students granted degrees during the time frame). Of the 1729, 1656 (96%) reported "employed" or "continuing education," • 1420 (82%) reported "employed," • 236 (14%) reported "continuing education." 692 (45%) of 1536 indicated they had completed an internship or co-op experience. Of those who completed an internship or co-op experience, • 431 (63%) of 680 respondents reported they received academic credit for their internship or co-op, • 231 (34%) of 673 respondents reported receiving an offer of employment from the internship or co-op site, • 135 (59%) of 229 respondents accepted the offer. 296 (20%) of 1513 respondents indicated they had participated in a study abroad program. Of the 1420 employed, 1413 (99.5%) responded to a question about the relevance of their jobs to their majors, with 1102 (78%) reporting employment "related" or "somewhat related" to major, • 802 (57%) reported employment "related" to major, • 300 (21%) reported employment "somewhat related" to major. Of the 1420 employed, 1406 indicated in which state they were employed and, of those, 1164 (83%) reported accepting employment in Minnesota.
