Astragalus | A root used for immune deficiencies and allergies.
Beeswax | Promotes healing of wounds, protects liver and reduces cholesterol
Bonito | Improves blood circulation and aids in recovery from fatigue and colds.
Cinnamon | Invigorates the circulation in the body, warms and opens channels, encourages the generation of Qi and blood.
Coastal Glenhia Root | Nourishes Yin and generates body fluids to treat dryness, primarily in the lungs.
Ginger | Warms the stomach and lungs to stop coughing and vomiting and resolves toxicity.
Ginseng | Strengthens body, restores vitality, calms the spirit and improves mental function.
Goji Berry | Tonifies the liver and kidney Yin to benefit the eyes, treats dry cough.
Kasu | The lees from sake production. Good for hangovers.

Baijiu | A Chinese spirit, usuall made from sorghum.
Benedictine | A French herbal liqueur flavored with 27 herbs such as mace, clove and cinnamon.
Bitters | A tincture made from steeping or distilling herbs, spices and/or botanicals in a neutral spirit. Originally designed to aid digestion.
Cynar | An artichoke flavored amaro.
Effervescent | Enthusiastically bubbly or fizzy.
Genever | Dutch gin usually made from malted barley.
Gomme | A rich, thick sugar syrup.
Hydrosol | A non alcoholic distillate.
Keefer Happy Wine | A fortified blend of white wines and osmanthus flowers.
Keefer Vermouth | Our house blend of sweet red vermouths, with the addition of a dry Chinese aperitif.
Mezcal | An agave spirit typically made from pit-roasted agaves.
Nigori | A cloudy sake that has been filtered through a broad mesh and bottled with some leftover rice particles.
Pisco | A grape based spirit from Chile or Peru.
Tangy | Perfect blend of sweet and sour. Leaning towards tart.
Tincture | A highly concentrated flavoring agent created by steeping herbs, spices, or botanicals in high proof alcohol.
Vermouth | A wine that has been aromatized and fortified with botanicals, spices and neutral spirit.
Wēnxù | Translates to “warming energy”.
Húluóbu | Translates to “carrot”.

The Keefer’s cocktail program takes its inspiration from apothecary-style drinks, created to soothe ailments and balance one’s mood. Asian-influenced small plates of food and specially crafted drinks are sourced from local Chinatown markets and herbalists. We pride ourselves on spirits and flavour pairings created by our award-winning Bar Team, lead by Keenan Hood and Amber Bruce.
The bar’s total capacity is 60, including a curtained-off backroom which fits 20 seated or 30 standing.
