Næstved Kunstby
BUILT ON LOCAL GRAFFITI CULTURE, GO FOR A WALK AROUND NÆSTVED Experience this wonderful city and enjoy the DATING BACK TO 1984 murals carefully integrated in the city scape Some murals will disappear and new ones will be added, continuously. Næstved Kunstby is the result of a unique and self-organized graffiti tradition, which for more than 30 years has granted Næstved a special status within international graffiti and hip-hop culture. Hip hop and graffiti culture came to Europe and to Næstved more than 30 years ago. Since that time the city has continuously had several unofficial street galleries. For this reason Næstved has always had a regular flow of visiting graffiti artists from all over the world. INTERNATIONAL GRAFFITI CULTURE All the works belonging to Næstved Kunstby are made by an array of in- ternational artists selected and curated because of their focused efforts and commitment to graffiti culture. Eachartist belonging to Næstved Kunstby comes from the graffiti culture and plying their skills in the streets was always part of growing up.Their learning and development came from hours of dedication in the streets or by the rail- road tracks as opposed to training in art schools and professional environ- ments. Subsequently, they now do more than just create works of art. They all actively contribute to the culture of hip hop and both inspire and educate young talents worldwide. This was also a driving force behind their agreeing to participate in this project. This is the amazing, untold story on which Næstved Kunstby is built. None of itwould have been possible without this network, the graffiti, the graffiti artists themselves and plenty of initiative. -

Open Call Kolding Den 14
Open Call Kolding den 14. november 2017 Art projects for the Triangle Festival 2019 From 23 august to 1 September 2019 For the last couple of years, art has played a bigger and bigger role in the Triangle Festival. We would like to do even more to visualize the art experiences in our festival and make them more accessible to our audience. Therefore, we have chosen to show art in seven Art Zones. Each Art Zone has its own aesthetics and history - places where people meet, hang out or pass by. The seven art zones have different hosts, and they will each get different expressions that appeal to different people. We are looking for art projects that work site-specific and who will explore the festival theme ’MOVE’. We wish that some of the projects involve the audience, but it is not a requirement for all projects. The Seven Art Zones The Manor House Sønderskov offers a special aesthetic experience with historical depth. The beautiful frames invite art projects that awaken curiosity. The Town Square ’Gravene’ The square is located in the part of Haderslev, which houses the oldest central districts near Haderslev Cathedral. The place is full of history and invites to art projects that experiment with the possibilities of the place. The Library Park The place is a recreational city oasis for the citizens. It has been created each year since 2016 in front of Kolding Library for a few weeks in late summer. Invites projects that surprise and experiment with creating new rooms in the city. The Mental Hospital (Teglgårdsparken) The former mental hospital in the city of Middelfart invites to a cultural day focused on psychiatry in fascinating historical frameworks. -

INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP of FLYING ROTARIANS Scandinavian Section Vejle, 5H – 8Th August 2021
INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIP OF FLYING ROTARIANS Scandinavian section Vejle, 5h – 8th August 2021 Welcome to the land of the real Vikings. This time Vejle is the backdrop of the Scandinavian IFFR gathering. Vejle is the 5th largest city in Denmark located in the centre of the country. During the last decade Vejle has become a city of modern architecture which has enriched the community greatly. A balance of contemporary Figure 1 Photo by Else Marie Jørgensen architecture and preserved traditional building style comes greatly together in the town. Previously being the Danish Manchester in the early industrialization it is now a centre of modern IT technology, engineering of wind energy generators as well as being ranked as Denmark’s most service-minded shopping town. A stroll through Vejle offers a wealth of architectural impressions that showcase the city’s rich heritage as well as its future-forward developments. The oldest building is the St. Nicolai Church from the mid-1200s, while Spinderihallerne, Den Smidtske Gård (merchant house), Vejle Town Hall and the Vejle Windmill are all from the 1800s. Adding to Vejle’s exciting new impressions are the waterfront promenade, dockland canals, a floating kayak club, a marina, restaurants and contemporary residential estates, such as Bølgen (The Wave) and the latest addition Fjordenhus erected in the middle of the harbour. Lego House. After arrival at EKBI and a bite to eat, you will be brought to Lego House by car. Your luggage remains at the airport and will be loaded on the bus which will pick you up at 16:00 outside Lego House.
