following areas:

Autism & Language Early Years Educational Psychology Early Language Support Literacy Support Schools Wellbeing Service & Mental Health Support Team Sensory Needs - Hearing and Visual Impairment

Social, Emotional and Mental Health BHISS

BHISS is an important part of 's Local Offer for children and young people with SEND. All schools have Special Educational Needs or Inclusion Coordinators (SENCOs/INCOs) and SEND funding to meet less significant needs through a 'graduated response'. We have a guide to help schools with their graduated support called the: SEND Guide for Professionals (and Executive Summary)

Schools and settings are able to call on BHISS team around the school / setting when additional advice or support is required to meet more significant needs.

Find out more about BHISS on the Local Offer.

BrightonBrighton & Hove & Hove Inclusion Inclusion SupportSupport Service Service (BHISS) (BHISS) Course Information Course Information

BHISS training is organised across the school year at a range of venues. Courses cover the range of needs that we support and are delivered by BHISS practitioners.

For information about the content of training not provided in the fliers at the end of this brochure, e-mail [email protected]

Venue / Online Platform

• Some courses are now being delivered through a virtual platform indicated in the brochure.

• If an on-site training is not able to run due to health and safety linked with pandemic guidance, the training will move to a virtual platform delivery on the same day, within the same time range, although adapted accordingly. This maintains service delivery.

• Training sessions are mostly delivered in the BHISS Group Room, County Oak Ave- nue, BN1 8DJ.

• Risk Assessments have been completed relating to the use of this room, and attendee guidance will be issued with the booking. This gives a limit to numbers attending. This may lead to a course moving to a virtual platform.

• There is no on-site parking at BHISS Office at County Oak Avenue, but free street parking nearby and it is on the 5B, 26 and 46 bus routes.

• Where other venues are being used this is indicated in the training schedule and flier information.
