MADKOUR (With 8 figures and 5 tables) Manuscript submitted on June 14th 2010, the revised manuscript on March 15th 2011 Abstract A study of the geochemistry and texture of marine surface-sediments in selected areas along the Red Sea coast was conducted in order to assess the possible influence of human activities on the composition of the sediments, to test for anomalous enrichments in heavy metals, and to evaluate and quantify metal release into the sea. Surface sediments reveal extremely high total concentra- tions of Zn (average 21.35 ppm) in Quseir Harbour, Cu (avg. 76.74 ppm) in El-Esh area, Pb (avg. 21.56 ppm and avg. 19.54 ppm) in Safaga and Hurghada Harbours, respectively, as well as Ni (avg. 38.37 ppm), Co (avg. 6.84 ppm) and Cd (avg. 1.33 ppm) in Safaga Harbour. Some samples show very high values of Cu (366 ppm) at El-Esh area. -

Roman-script resources are often available for Egypt; however, it should also be noted that, even on official Egyptian products, Roman-script forms may be encountered which are likely to differ from those arising from the application of the BGN/PCGN Romanization System for Arabic.6 There are conventional Roman-script or English-language names for many places in Egypt (see ‘Other significant locations’, p12), which can be used where appropriate. The ESPASP project has managed to reach all of the areas as indicated in the project document. However, its level of involvement differed from one area to another depending on various external factors. The project has provided full-fledged strategies for Ras Mohammed, Saint Katherine, Nabq, Wadi Degla and Wadi El Gemal Protected Areas. As for the White Desert, Wadi El Rayan and the Northern Red Sea Islands, the scope of the activities aimed to advance the scientific knowledge in those areas by drafting management plans for each of them. -

Hishama∗ a Architectural Department, Pharos University, Alexandria, Egypt Abstract Sustainable development of Egypt requires the cognitive elements and components of sustainability in order to achieve integration between aspects of the environment, social and economic development of the regions administrative planning seven Egypt and axes of Transportation National Association and piercing her up search access to the path of an exemplary sustainable economic, but is central to the development and reconstruction pass-through in the west of Egypt, giving sustainable development in the Western Sahara, including Egypt and given a geographical balance from east to west and along the longitudinal development of the North West coast beside River Nile and through the analytical study of planning regions in Egypt. In this analytical study of regions planning to Egypt, we find that it is not balanced resources and the possibilities and requirements for the sustainable development of schemes of national long-term and that the area between the proposed hub and the Nile Valley is a product of adhesion and the juxtaposition of the new axis and the axis of the Nile Valley. The most important conclusions that the integration between resources and quality of the projects proposed in the new cities in order to achieve integration between the regions and given the interdependence and integration of sustainable development themes and incidental association are essential to creating spaces proportionate and compatible with the stages of national sustainable development.
