Development plans envisage the construction and operation of a 49.9MW solar farm and power storage units over seven parcels of land located southwest of the village of Bryngwran. No Conservation Areas or Historic Parks & Gardens will be directly or indirectly affected by the proposed development. Area 1 will not foresee any direct or indirect impacts over known designated and undesignated assets. Aerial photographs document possible medieval ridge and furrow (CAG-001) within the bounds of Area 1, as well as a square outcrop of unknown date (CAG-002). Area 3 is located 0.14m south from Castellor Hut Group (AN088). Although the scheduling area does not fall within Area 3, it is possible that remains associated with the site are encountered during groundworks. The magnitude of the impact is considered moderate, as it is the magnitude of the visual impact that the proposed development would have for SAM AN088. The walk over survey evidenced that the proposed development would have a direct visual impact over LB 20428. Finally, two new sites were identified during the site visit: CAG-003/004. These features are defined as raised circular mounds. While the nature of these features is unknown, they may be tentatively interpreted as prehistoric in date. While no direct views were observed during the site visit, a ZTV model demonstrates possible views from Area 4 to SAMM ANAN088.088088.. FurthermoreFurthermore,, the proposed development may have a visualvivis impact on LB 19488 and 5278. TThehe magnitudemagnitude ofof the impact is considered minorminor.. Another circulccirculara earthwork was located during the site visit in Area 4 (CAG-005).(CAG-0005).05). Similarly to CAGCAG-003/004,-0003/004,03/004, CAG-005CAG-005 might represent remains prehistoricc in date. Two HERs are present withinwithin thethe dedevelopmentdevevelopmentlopment aarea: PRN28943-4. The latter would be directlyiirectlyrectly impacted by the propproposedosed development. A furtherfurther HER is located at the boundary of AreaDRAFT 4: St Ulched’s Church (PRN 2525). While the latter is situated outside the bounds of the proposed development area, the possibility of encountering associated remains during groundworks cannot altogether be discarded. No new sites or known sites were identified within Area 5. Proposed developments in Area 5 will not have a direct or indirect impact on any Listed Building, Ancient Scheduled Monument or known undesignated heritage asset. Proposed development in Area 6 will not have any direct or indirect impact on both designated and undesignated heritage assets. Two raised mounds (CAG-006) were documented during the site visit. Although of unknown function, a prehistoric date for these features cannot be discarded as Bronze Age remains were recovered during development north of Area 6. Furthermore, a number of enclosed structures are depicted in the Tithe map within the proposed development area, east of Llyn Dinam (CAG-010). Development plans in Area 8 and 9 will not have any direct of indirect impact on both designated and undesignated heritage assets. Area 8 records the remains of an enclosed area associated with the adjacent Towyn (CAG-009). Three dew holes (CAG-007) were documented during the site visit. Although of unknown function, a prehistoric date for these features cannot be discarded considering the concentration of prehistoric remains found to the immediate south of the development area. Two raised mounds (CAG-013) were documented during the site visit in Area 9.     People, Places and Policy

    People, Places and Policy Set within the context of UK devolution and constitutional change, People, Places and Policy offers important and interesting insights into ‘place-making’ and ‘locality-making’ in contemporary Wales. Combining policy research with policy-maker and stakeholder interviews at various spatial scales (local, regional, national), it examines the historical processes and working practices that have produced the complex political geography of Wales. This book looks at the economic, social and political geographies of Wales, which in the context of devolution and public service governance are hotly debated. It offers a novel ‘new localities’ theoretical framework for capturing the dynamics of locality-making, to go beyond the obsession with boundaries and coterminous geog- raphies expressed by policy-makers and politicians. Three localities – Heads of the Valleys (north of Cardiff), central and west coast regions (Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and the former district of Montgomeryshire in Powys) and the A55 corridor (from Wrexham to Holyhead) – are discussed in detail to illustrate this and also reveal the geographical tensions of devolution in contemporary Wales. This book is an original statement on the making of contemporary Wales from the Wales Institute of Social and Economic Research, Data and Methods (WISERD) researchers. It deploys a novel ‘new localities’ theoretical framework and innovative mapping techniques to represent spatial patterns in data. This allows the timely uncovering of both unbounded and fuzzy relational policy geographies, and the more bounded administrative concerns, which come together to produce and reproduce over time Wales’ regional geography.     Anglesey & Gwynedd Joint Local Joint Development Plan 2016-2026 Item:- Deposit Plan Part 2 - Maps Ref ID 1824 - Page 111 - Map 118 - Bryn Du Re - Planning Approval for 12 Affordable Houses granted 2014 although part of the JLDP 2016-2026. ==================================================================== My previous statements on this item remains true and accurate. This comment indicates the degree of serious unsoundness that exists in the existing presented JLDP and the inadequate considerations given to the provision and location of Affordable Housing in Anglesey, and the serious consequences of locating Affordable Housing which do not have the benefit of adequate services and facilities. I stated in my earlier submission that the Anglesey County Council, (ACC), and the JLDP provide guidance on the location of Affordable Housing and state that they should be located in settlements where there are public facilities to support them. Grossly contrary to this guidance Bryn Du is a substantial linear village about 1 km long, and estimated to be of over 100 dwellings, between Llanfaelog Church and Ty Croes Train Station -(which provides a limited, almost virtual service which renders it unfit for purpose). The press statement issued by the Group Cynefin Housing Association and Anglesey County Council Housing Department on 26 May 2015 at the start of construction of the 12 Affordable Houses allocated to Bryn Du indicates how remote these organisations are from their own Council Guidance and the realms of reality:- “Grŵp Cynefin are working in partnership with Anglesey Council’s housing services to develop four small-scale sites in Bryngwran, Bodedern, Holyhead and Llanfaelog. The four developments were announced during a visit to one of the sites, the Bryn Du development in Llanfaelog, which consists of six homes (3 bedroom) and six smaller homes (2 bedroom).

While so employed, he wrote much elegant Latin poetry in praise of much effort in seeking church advancement and in literary disputes such as that with the Royal Court which may have gained him favour with Henry VIII, for he was Richard Croke, who he claimed had slandered him.

    Advisory Visit Bodorgan Estate, Anglesey April 2012 1.0 Introduction This report is the output of a site visit undertaken by Tim Jacklin of the Wild Trout Trust to the Bodorgan Estate, Anglesey on, 12th April, 2012. Comments in this report are based on observations on the day of the site visit and discussions with Tim Bowie (General Manager of the Estate), Holly Parry (local graduate of Bangor University), Billy Tweddle (Gamekeeper) and Ian Ferrier (experienced local angler). Normal convention is applied throughout the report with respect to bank identification, i.e. the banks are designated left hand bank (LHB) or right hand bank (RHB) whilst looking downstream. 2.0 Catchment and Fishery Overview Bodorgan Estate is on the south-west of the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales, and covers an area of approximately 15,000 acres. Within the Estate is Llyn Coron, a lake of approximately 90 acres (cover picture), which is within the catchment of the Afon Ffraw. The lake contains wild brown trout and sea trout which run the Ffraw. The lake is fished by a small syndicate (and day ticket anglers) and is occasionally stocked with farmed brown trout. The main focus of this advisory visit was the Afon Fraw, Llyn Coron and their tributaries. Also on the Estate is the Afon Caradog, a tributary of the Afon Crigyll which joins the sea at Rhosneigr. Sections of the Caradog were also inspected during this visit at Y Werthyr (SH373783) and Bryn Glas (SH372781). Information from the River Basin Management Plan (Water Framework Directive) published by Environment Agency Wales (EAW) is shown in the table below for the Crigyll catchment (including Afon Caradog) and for the Ffraw.

    14th Volume, No. 56 1963 – “50 years tugboatman” - 2013 Dated 29 September 2013 BUYING, SALES, NEW BUILDING, RENAMING AND OTHER TUGS TOWING & OFFSHORE INDUSTRY NEWS TUGS & TOWING NEWS DUKE OF NORMANDY II AT CRINAN The Duke of Normandy II seen at the basin of the Crinan Canal, Crinan, where she has been based for the last few years. [54grt 70.9 x 14.4 x 5.8 ft. 350bhp (re engined 1958 with the installation of new Mirrlees 290bhp engine.)]. Built in Germany in 1934 as a river customs vessel she was requisitioned by the Kriegsmarine during the Second World War, as a Harbour Protection Vessel, under the designation FK01. She was stationed in Jersey as part of the German forces occupying the Channel Islands and as such she took part with other units in two German raids on the French port of Granville in February and March 1945. She remained in the Channel Islands, owned by the States of Jersey and renamed Duke of Normandy. Sold and renamed Duke of Normandy II (1972) resold 1975 to Arrochar Boathiring Co Ltd, who she used her to tow small barges around the Clyde from Arrochar. Currently owned by Mick Walker who converted the 1943 Clyde Puffer VIC 32, for cruising, and which is now owned by the charity, The Puffer Preservation Trust Co Ltd. The Duke of Normandy II has not been used commercially in recent years.
