Brooklyn netted 44 second-half points and placed four players in double figures in the win. Amber Gordon had a game-high 19 points, followed by Priscilla Ramirez (18 points, nine assists), Frances Lyons (16 points, 14 rebounds), and Ariel Smith (14 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists). Those four players are Brooklyn’s offensive leaders this season, paced by Ramirez’s 20.4 points per game, while Lyons (14.6 ppg), Gordon (12.2 ppg), and Smith (12.0 ppg) are also averaging double-digits in the scoring column. • The NCAA named Brooklyn the third most improved team in Division III after going 19-9 in 2008-09 following a 7-17 record in 2007-08, a ten-game improvement. Last meeting vs. Brooklyn (November 18, 2008): In the season opener for both teams, Brooklyn pulled out a close 78-76 win over the Brewers. In her collegiate debut, Vassar’s Kristyn Tempora netted a team-high 23 points -- a career high she has matched twice since -- and Emily Haeuser added a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double. Though a Tempora three-pointer knotted the score at 75 with 90 seconds remaining, Brooklyn managed to sink free throws down the stretch to notch the win. For Brooklyn, transfer Priscilla Ramirez made an immediate impact in her first game, with a game-high 34 points.
