Pat Two: Future meetings Discussion around time and place of future meetings as these need to be booked for new year and advertised. There is a long list of potential speakers and speakers do attract attendance but need to consider what types of speakers members are most interested in. Consideration of a range of Devon and Conrwall meeting venues. ACTION: Committee to meet to plan venues and speakers for 2020. Cast It Here Wide ranging discussion about the Cast It Here campaign. Concerns raised about the idea of pushing for a film studio in Cornwall since the last known attempt ended in controversy. Questions were raised around whether this was the best approach as there was no one currently looking to do this. Consideration of how we can connect better with production companies that work in our area and building up those links to strengthen the professionalism of filmmaking in Devon and Cornwall with a focus on employing professional Equity registered actors. There is a lot of filmmaking in the area using local actors, but much of it is currently no pay/low pay so there is an issue around film funding.
