Folha De Sala Os Qu Emigraram UMA CRIAÇÃO DE RICARDO BRITO COM JOÃO PAIVA, JOSÉ GREGÓRIO ROJAS E SARA CÍNTIA 22 ABRIL 11h // 24 ABRIL 11h E 15H Teatro municipal baltazar dias m/6 folha de sala O conceito dramatúrgico Através da singularidade de um trabalho de pesquisa artístico-sociológica, tendo em vista a criação de uma dramaturgia original para um espetáculo que respirasse o processo que o fez nascer e procurando pontes com a comunidade, no sentido de a compreender nas suas necessidades, desaguámos num registo de teatro-documental onde abraçamos a questão da emigração, focando-a em três verbos inerentes a esse fenómeno - partir, ficar e voltar. Tentámos compreender as marcas próprias que esses movimentos deixam na comunidade, o que move quem vive com a ausência, a distância, e o que ainda brota dessa vida dedicada a esperar ou a negar o reencontro com os seus. Com um elenco e direcção artística composto por elementos que vieram "dar à costa" madeirense, aproveitamos, também, para reflectir sobre a forma como as recolhas que fizemos se inscrevem na nossa própria jornada. Sinopse O que é que define a tua casa? Partindo de uma recolha de testemunhos junto daqueles que ficaram, deixando os olhos postos no m(ar), propomos uma viagem pelo mais íntimo das veredas e caminhos desta terra fértil, tentando perceber o que dela brota, se ainda restam razões para sorrir... mesmo que no mais recôndito impasse. Dizem os lugares-comuns que os que emigraram levaram consigo todas as ilusões, deixaram vidas suspensas, quartos vazios de memórias cheias, acomodaram os afetos ao formato das bagagens, desenharam rugas nos rostos que ficaram, também nos que abalaram, correndo para longe na senda de motivos para regressar. Que território se constrói, quando toda a sua identidade se encontra em trânsito? Que território se define numa região ultraperiférica? Que território é este, de sonho para quem o escolhe, mas tão sem ilusões para... Os qu'emigraRAM?     Banda Municipal Paulense História A 4 de Setembro de 1874, nascia na freguesia do Paul do Mar, uma Banda de música, inicialmente denominada, Filarmónica Paulense e a partir de 1991, de Banda Municipal Paulense. Não há certezas de como surgiu a ideia de formar uma Banda, mas tudo teve início numa reunião familiar, visto que todos os membros fundadores pertenciam à mesma família. Os membros fundadores da Banda foram Manuel Gonçalves Jardim e Arsénio Santana. O primeiro Presidente e também primeiro Maestro da Banda foi Arsénio Santana, que depois passou o testemunho para Arseninho (seu filho). Depois a responsabilidade da Banda ficou a cargo dos Coitos. Assim, o terceiro Maestro foi António Coito, o quarto Manuel Bernardo Coito Andrade e o quinto novamente, António Coito. Mais recentemente foi Maestro, o Manuel Patrício Balelo de 1982 a 1992 e atualmente, João Pedro Gomes Fernandes, que se mantém nestas funções desde Janeiro de 1993. Segundo Luíza Clode, muitos instrumentos foram oferecidos por um Príncipe russo, no entanto os fundos para a manutenção da Banda, eram provenientes dos Amadores da Banda. Os Amadores tinham uma quota fixa (2$50 em 1950), mas em caso de necessidade, eles davam mais dinheiro e em contrapartida a Banda tinha de ir à casa destes, na primeira oitava de Santo Amaro e aos serviços fúnebres, destes ou pessoa da família. De salientar, que no dia 1 de Dezembro (dia da Restauração) e no 1º dia do Ano, a Banda saía às ruas da freguesia para assinalar esses dias festivos. A Banda tinha muitas atuações, tanto em arraiais como em cerimónias fúnebres, casamentos, aniversários, entre outros.
