7/ r/114,,Nmedi ArrJ 44, 4Onomr to report for the consider- ation of the Council the following: MINUS Subsection (d) of seotion 6 of Chapter 9 of the Statutes of British columhia,1913,boing the Civil Service Act Amesesent Lot 1913 provides that no temporary clerk or stenog- rapher shall be paid a salary exceeding the lowest sum paid to a permanent junior clerk or sbnegrapher or third class clerk as the case may be except under authority of an Order in coun- cil: AND ARRAS the clerks and stenographers named in the schedule hereto Imre at the time of the passing of said Aot or have since been temporarily employed in the different Land Registry Offices and Court Registry Offices for the periods and at the salaries set opposite their respective names in such Schedule,which salaries exceed the maximum suns provided by said watts)* 6 of said chapter 9: AND TSB UNMORSIOXID SROOXURNDS THAT the salaries hereto- fore paid such temporary clerks and stenographers in such schedule statod,ead for the periods during which they were so temporarily empleyedsbe appreved,and that the salaries of such 'lurks and stenographers as are still so temporarily employed may be continued as shown on such schedule.
