Thank you for forwarding the most recent project materials concerning the proposed Turbine Electric Generating Plant proposed for Astoria, Queens, New York City. The Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has reviewed the project in accordance with the provisions of Section 14.09 of the New York State Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation Act of 1980.
Based on submitted viewshed studies, historic resource surveys, and other project information, it is the opinion of the OPRHP that the proposed new generating plant will have No Adverse Impact on historic resources either listed on or determined eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
