The type material of 12 species of Bucculatrix Zeller, 1839 deposited in the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin is revised. B. imitatella Herrich-Schäffer, [1855], and B. jugicola Wocke, 1877, are sunk in synonymy of B. cristatella (Zeller, 1839). Two other synonyms have been established: B. alpina Frey, 1870 = B. leucanthemella Constant, 1895, syn. n.; B. infans Staudinger, 1880 = B. centaureae Deschka, 1973, syn. n. The male genitalia of the species are figured. Lectotypes have been designated for 5 species. Zusammenfassung. Es wird das Typenmaterial von 12 Arten der Gattung Bucculatrix Zeller, 1839 revidiert, die sich im Museum für Naturkunde Berlin befinden. Zwei Namen stellten sich als neue Synonyme heraus: B. imitatella Herrich-Schäffer, [1855], syn. n. und B. jugicola Wocke, 1877, syn. n. von B. cristatella (Zeller, 1839). Zwei weitere Synonyme werden bekanntgemacht: B. leucanthemella Constant, 1895, syn. n. von B. alpina Frey, 1870 und B. centaureae Deschka, 1973, syn. n. von B. infans Staudinger, 1880. Muus Erik J. van Nieukerken TREFWOORDEN Faunistiek, nieuwe waarneming, provincies, areaaluitbreidingen Entomologische Berichten 73 (3): 91-117 In de jaren 2007-2010 werden maar liefst elf soorten kleine vlinders nieuw voor onze fauna gevonden: Infurcitinea teriolella, Bucculatrix ulmifoliae, Caloptilia fidella, Phyllonorycter issikii, Coleophora motacillella, Cochylis molliculana, Cnephasia sedana, Clepsis dumicolana, Lobesia botrana, Pseudococcyx tessulatana en Evergestis aenealis. Daarnaast werden drie soorten al elders gemeld: Caloptilia hemidactylella, Cydalima perspectalis en Bucculatrix ainsliella. Na 30 jaar van jaarlijsten geven we een evaluatie, met onder andere een totaal van 128 nieuw gemelde soorten. Dit zijn er minder dan in Denemarken, maar meer dan op de Britse Eilanden of in Zweden. We verklaren deze verschillen door het verschil in oppervlak van de landen: hoe kleiner het land, hoe meer kans dat er nieuwe soorten gevonden worden. Dit jaaroverzicht is het laatste dat in deze vorm verschijnt. Dit is het negentiende jaaroverzicht van de Nederlandse Micro- die beoordeeld konden worden door specialisten. In diesen 100 Jahren hat sich die Landschaft um Basel und damit deren Flora und Fauna stark verändert. Es liegt auf der Hand, dass sich die Gesellschaft auch für die Erhaltung der lokalen Insektenfauna einsetzt. Um die Flora und Fauna erhalten und schützen zu können, braucht es regelmässig durchgeführte Erhebungen derselben. Dies wiederum benötigt Fachleute, die die Arten aus den verschiedenen Gruppen sicher bestimmen können. Die Gesellschaft gibt seit 1951 die „Mitteilungen“ heraus, in denen sich eine Vielzahl faunistischer Meldungen finden. -

Yet for many putatively coevolving clades we lack knowledge both of their evolutionary history of diversification, and the manner in which they organize themselves into patterns of interaction. This is especially true for mutualistic associations, despite the fact that mutualisms have served as models for much coevolutionary research. In this dissertation, I examine the codiversification of an obligate, reciprocally specialized pollination mutualism between leafflower moths (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae: Epicephala) and leafflower trees (Phyllanthaceae: Phyllanthus sensu lato [Glochidion]) on the oceanic islands of southeastern Polynesia. Leafflower moths are the sole known pollinators of five clades of leafflowers (in the genus Phyllanthus s. l., including the genera Glochidion and Breynia), and thus this interaction is considered to be obligate. Female moths actively transfer pollen from male flowers to female flowers, using a haired proboscis to transfer pollen into the recessed stigmatic surface at the end of the fused stylar column. The moths then oviposit into the flowers’ ovaries, and the larva which hatches consumes a subset, but not all, of the developing fruit’s seed set. -
