Teil (Symphyta: Tenthredinidae: Selandriinae, Allantinae, Heterarthrinae, Blennocampinae) Alois Kofler* & Wolfgang Schedl** Abstract On the occurrence of sawflies in the district of Lienz (East Tyrol, Austria) Part 3. For the district of Lienz (East Tyrol) and the country of Carinthia 101 species of sawflies stemming from four subfamilies of Hymenoptera: Symphyta: Tethredinidae are listed: Selandriinae (36/15), Allantinae (30/13), Heterarthrinae (5/1), Blennocampinae (20/3). The following species are especially remar- kable: Aneugmenus temporalis, Dolerus jukonensis jukonensis, Allantus togatus, Athalia paradoxa, Athalia scutellariae, Harpiphorus lepidus, Aneugmenus coronatus, Birka annulitarsis, Dolerus asper, Apethymus serotinus, Caliroa annulipes, Periclista lineolata, Stethomostus fuliginosus. Keywords: Symphyta, East Tyrol, Carinthia, Sawflies, Austria Zusammenfassung Für den Bezirk Lienz (Osttirol) und das Land Kärnten werden 101 Arten von Blattwespen aus 4 Unterfamilien der Tenthredinidae samt ihren Fundorten aufgelistet: Selandriinae (36/15), Allantinae (30/13), Heterarthrinae (5/1), Blennocampinae (20/3). Besonders bemerkenswert sind: Aneugmenus temporalis, Dolerus jukonensis jukonensis, Allantus togatus, Athalia paradoxa, Athalia scutellariae, Harpiphorus lepidus, Aneugmenus coronatus, Birka annulitarsis, Dolerus asper, Apethymus serotinus, Caliroa annulipes, Periclista lineolata, Stethomostus fuliginosus. _____________________________ * Mag. PSCHORN-WALCHER Abstract: Larval collections and rearings have been made of the European species of the sawfly genera Metallus, Monostegia, and Phymatocera. The biology of Metallus albipes, a leaf-miner specialized on raspberries, is described in some detail. M. pumilus has been reared mainly from dewberries (Rubus caesius), less often from rock bramble (R. saxatilis), but has rarely been found on blackberries (R. fruticosus agg.). M. lanceolatus, mining the leaves of wood avens (Geum urbanum), is also briefly dealt with. The larvae of these leaf-miners are described and a total of 11 species of parasitoids have been reared from them, including 3 highly specific Ichneumonid species of the genera Lathrolestes and Grypocentrus. Monostegia nigra, an entirely black sawfly species separated from M. abdominalis by TAEGER (1987), has been reared from Lysimachia punctata in gardens. In contrast to M. abdominalis, frequently reared also from L. vulgaris (yellow loosestrife), M. nigra lays several eggs dispersed over a leaf (not in an oblong cluster) and the head capsule of the larvae is uniformly yellowish (not with a dark stripe on the vertex).

During the last few years there has been considerable loss experienced in some of the states to the east of us from the attacks of certain weevils, known commonly as “ Bill Bugs,” upon corn when it is just coming above ground, but up to the present year we have had no information of injuries from these insects in this state. It seems, however, that we are no longer to be favored in this respect as reports and specimens from a number of localities as well as a considerable abund ance of the insects in the vicinity of Ames points to the in crease of the pests and probable serious losses another year.

Journal of Hymenoptera Research 49: 129–159. doi: 10.3897/JHR.49.7104 Abstract Examination of museum specimens, unpublished collection data, and field surveys conducted between 2010 and 2014 resulted in records for 22 species of sawflies new to Washington State, seven of which are likely to be pest problems in ornamental landscapes. These data highlight the continued range expansion of exotic species across North America. These new records also indicate that our collective knowledge of Pacific Northwest arthropod biodiversity and biogeography is underdeveloped, even for a relatively well known and species-poor group of insects.

  • Nieuwe En Interessante Bladwespen (Tenthredinidae: Allantinae) in Nederland
248 entomologische berichten 77 (5) 2017 Nieuwe en interessante bladwespen (Tenthredinidae: Allantinae) in Nederland Ad W.M. Mol Leo H.M.
