Monday 19 July 2021 To (D) Welcome to your adventure exploring the remote South Australian Outback. Departing on the Outback Explorer in first class seats. Sit back, relaxing and enjoying the scenery as you are whisked away through the Central West of NSW. Continue to marvel at the ever-changing scenery of Western NSW until you arrive at Broken Hill at 7.10pm.

Tuesday 20 July 2021 Milparinka - Tibooburra (B,L,D) Travel north towards the “corner country”. Hear tales and legends of Outback NSW - our special heritage. The morning stop will be at the remote Packsaddle Roadhouse where passengers can purchase morning tea. We visit the old gold mining township of Milparinka and historic Depot Glen where Capt. Charles Sturt and his party were forced to stay for six months in 1845 due to extreme water shortage. From here we head to Tibooburra, the most remote town in NSW. Our home tonight is the Family Hotel. Built in 1881 from local sandstone this historic hotel famous for its murals and paintings.

Wednesday 21 July 2021 Cameron Corner - Innamincka (B,L,D) We continue through the spectacular Sturt National Park, Kangaroos, emus and birdlife by the hundreds. Shoot as much as you like ……. with your camera! to Cameron Corner, the point in the outback of eastern Australia where the boundary lines of the states of , , and meet. Mr. Cameron erected a post there in September 1880 to mark its intersection with the border of South Australia. The noted Dingo Fence passes through Cameron Corner. After a short stop we head over the red sandhills of the Strzelecki Desert, then pass the Santos oil and gas field on the Old Strzelecki Track before joining the Strzelecki Track to remote Innamincka for the next 2 nights.

Thursday 22 July 2021 Exploring Innamincka (B,L,D) Up bright and early as we head out to the Cullyamurra Waterhole to experience sunrise. This is an amazing sight and Australia’s largest billabong offers an abundance of birdlife, fish jumping out of the water and turtles coming up for air. One of the most magnificent waterholes in central Australia, The waterhole has never been known to be dry. At the eastern end of the Cullyamurra Waterhole is the Innamincka Choke walking trail. About 2 km up the trail there is something very interesting – an area covered with large boulders. Some of the boulders carry carvings that were engraved by aboriginal people long ago. The walking trail hugs the south bank of frequently descending right to the edge of the water. We head back to Innamincka for a late breakfast. We head on to Station to view The Dig Tree. The Burke and Wills ‘Dig Tree’ is one of Australia’s national icons and an enduring reminder of our pioneering spirit. It is believed that the tree is 200-250 years old. Enroute we’ll stop at the at the Moomba Oil and Gas Field viewing area plus take some photo opportunities along the way. At Lyndhurst we are back on sealed road for our final stretch of the day to Leigh Creek

Saturday 24 July 2021 Flinders Ranges (B,D) Today we explore the Southern Flinders ranges. Stopping along the way at Blinman, the highest town in the Flinders Ranges with a copper mining history. Here the Blinman Underground Experience offers a unique journey into the heart of an historic copper mine, it transports people back in time, to the lives of the miners and their families during the second half of the 19th century. Next, we are off to the Great Wall of China to have a look at this natural geological wonder. The rest of the afternoon will be spent exploring. The many roads and tracks lead to a host of rugged gorges and beautiful valleys, we will be sure to visit Bunyeroo & Brachina gorges and the wonderful view from the Razorback lookout before settling into our accommodation at Wilpena Pound Resort

Sunday 25 July 2021 Pichi Richi Railway & Steamtown Sound & Light Show (B,L,D) Today we are up nice and early to head to Quorn to Experience Train Travel as it was a century ago in the South Australian countryside on the Pichi Richi Explorer, a half-day steam-train journey from Quorn. As the track winds its way into the picturesque Pichi Richi Pass, you'll get a close-up view of the ancient Flinders Ranges geology in the deep rock cuttings built in the 1870s. The carriages, some dating back to the 19th century, were used on narrow-gauge trains such as the Great Northern Express, the Ghan, the East-West Express and services in the south-east of SA. Returning to Quorn at 1pm for lunch before heading cross country to Peterborough. Time Permitting, we will make a visit to Steamtown Heritage Rail Centre before checking into our hotel for an early dinner as tonight we return to Steamtown for the Sound & Light Show. You will sit comfortably in a restored 1916 historic rail carriage which is placed on an 85-foot-long, 3-gauge turntable. Over 1 hour, you will move through the tunnels of time, to learn about Peterborough, about railways in South Australia and about the many fascinating personal stories associated with it.

Monday 26 July 2021 Broken Hill (B,D) This morning we take some time to look around Peterborough before traveling the Barrier Highway to Broken Hill. Stopping at Yunta and other points of interest along the way before arriving into Broken Hill about lunch time. The afternoon is free to simply relax or explore Broken Hill at your own pace. Our hotel is centrally located with the Sulphide Street Railway & Historical Museum, the Albert Kersten Mining &Minerals Museum, Regional Art Gallery and the Big Picture & Silver Mint all within easy walking distance.
