October 19th 2011 will certainly be going down as a great day for me and my family, and I hope for St Martin as well. For me, the most satisfying part of polling day (apart from the result) was the fact that St Martin was the top Parish for turnout, with over 63.5% of you coming out and making the effort to vote. I would like to think it was a reflection on the hard work that Bob and I put into our campaigns…so a very BIG “Thank You” to you all. St Martin scored a hat trick last year, because having a new Connétable, Rector and Deputy inside a twelve month period is something that doesn’t happen very often, but Michel, Gerry and myself have already got off to a really good start.
